Prince Harry made one confession about his marriage that unleashed total pandemonium

The late Princess Di’s baby boy finally addressed the media about divorcing American actress wife Meghan Markle.

Celebrity gossip rags and even so-called “mainstream” media outlets can’t seem to get enough of the clownshow that is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s marriage.

But there may just be trouble in paradise.

And Prince Harry made one confession about his marriage that unleashed total pandemonium.

Trouble in paradise

Outside of pop megastar Taylor Swift, few if any celebrities have created as much international buzz in recent years as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Since they were wed in a 2018 ceremony on the grounds of Windsor Castle, the couple have seemingly worked hand-in-hand to become the ultimate “influencers” while complaining relentlessly about the attention they actively sought.

Through countless failed joint business ventures, international embarrassments, and the destruction of any semblance of a relationship with Harry’s family, it seemed as though nothing could come between them.

But in recent months, many have begun to notice that Harry and Meghan have suddenly begun to drift apart, particularly when it comes to their public appearances.

For example, Meghan recently attended the annual Paley Honors Fall Gala in Beverly Hills, but was noticeably solo for the event, mingling with other celebrities like filmmaker Tyler Perry, rather than her husband.

Amidst plenty of speculation about their marriage status, sources close to the couple stressed that they were merely doing more solo appearances as they attempt to rehabilitate their tarnished public images.

Of course, that narrative didn’t do much of anything to quail the gossip mill, though.

As such, Harry recently made an appearance at The New York Times’ annual Dealbook Summit, where CNBC’s Andrew Ross Sorkin pressed him on the status of his marriage.

“I Google News-ed you, and there were people fascinated by everything you’re doing, all the time,” Sorkin noted. “They’re fascinated by Meghan is in California right now, and you’re here.”

“And there’s articles left and right about, you know, ‘Why are you making, doing independent events? Why aren’t you doing them together?’” he added.

Harry and Meghan could end this at any time

Considering the fact that he grew up in the public eye and has gone through the best media training money can buy, Prince Harry was able to cut the tension with a quick joke.

“Because you invited me, you should have known!” he teased, causing the audience to laugh.

But Sorkin wasn’t going to allow Harry to simply brush it aside with humor.

“Is that normal for you?” Sorkin asked. “The second, there’s an article — she’s in California, you’re in New York — they say, ‘Well, what is happening with these two, right?’ Is that a good thing for you, in a way, that there’s so much interest in you?”

Rather than actually answer the question, though, the disgraced British Royal simply did what he and his wife always do – complain about the attention they actively court.

“Apparently we’ve bought or moved houses 10, 12 times,” Harry said. “We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, ‘what?’”

“It’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you just sort of ignore it. The people I feel most sorry about are the trolls,” he continued. “Their hopes are just built and built, and it’s like, ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,’ and then it doesn’t happen. So I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do.”

He proceeded to paint himself as a lifelong victim of wealth and fame.

“I’ve had a lived experience since I was a kid,” Harry whined. “I’ve seen stories written about myself that aren’t exactly based on reality. I’ve seen stories about members of my family, friends, strangers, all sorts of people.”

In all fairness, many of the made-up stories about his family came from him and his wife.

Regardless, if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want the attention to end, they could just stop courting it.
