The British royal family is tearing apart at the seams.
Palace insiders are whispering about the most divisive Christmas in decades.
And Princess Beatrice is caught between her disgraced father and King Charles in one ugly family feud.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's scandals destroy royal Christmas
King Charles just handed his family the most brutal Christmas ultimatum in modern royal history.
After months of scandals involving Jeffrey Epstein and Chinese spy allegations, Charles finally drew the line.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson are banned from Sandringham's Christmas festivities.
The former prince lost his royal titles in October 2025 after King Charles stripped him of everything — his Prince title, his Duke of York designation, and his 30-room Royal Lodge mansion.¹
"These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him," Buckingham Palace announced.²
Andrew's fall from grace began with his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and escalated with revelations about his relationship with alleged Chinese spy Yang Tengbo.
Court documents revealed Andrew's aide described the suspected spy as one of "Andrew's closest internal confidants."³
The Chinese businessman was banned from Britain in 2023 for "covert and deceptive activity" on behalf of the Chinese government.⁴
Virginia Giuffre's posthumous memoir "Nobody's Girl" delivered the final blow, containing graphic allegations about Andrew's conduct.
Even Charles couldn't shield his brother from the mounting pressure after a heckler confronted the king, shouting "Have you asked the police to cover up for Andrew?"⁵
Now Andrew faces Christmas alone with Sarah Ferguson at Royal Lodge before his forced move to a "shoebox" property on the Sandringham estate.
Beatrice faces impossible Christmas choice between family loyalties
The royal purge has created an impossible situation for Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
These two sisters must choose between supporting their disgraced father or maintaining their standing with the royal family.
"Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie face a 'tug-of-love' dilemma after being invited by The King to spend Christmas at Sandringham," royal sources revealed.⁶
Beatrice, 36 and pregnant with her second child, faces the most pressure.
"Overall it falls to the princesses to soothe family divisions. They are struggling with Christmas," an insider explained.⁷
The pregnant princess feels "compelled to be in three places at once on Christmas Day" — her Cotswolds home with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Sandringham with the royal family, and Royal Lodge for a final Christmas with her father.⁸
"Unless she makes a decision to pick one side and one side only, she will spend a lot of time in the car," a source warned.⁹
Royal biographer Andrew Lownie described the family relationship as "tense" and predicted Beatrice and Eugenie would "go to Sandringham and muck in with the big party rather than with their parents."¹⁰
"[Beatrice and Eugenie] know where their bread is buttered, and they want to keep in with them," Lownie explained about their likely choice to side with King Charles.¹¹
Princess Eugenie found her escape route by fleeing to Portugal with husband Jack Brooksbank.
"Eugenie was tempted to stay in Portugal with her family and husband Jack Brooksbank," sources revealed. "She is so settled there, far from all the drama."¹²
King Charles feels guilty but won't bend on Andrew
King Charles finds himself in an unprecedented royal crisis.
The monarch "has a soft spot for both Beatrice and Eugenie and feels sorry for the situation they are in," royal author Phil Dampier revealed.¹³
"So it's a real dilemma for him and one he could do without," Dampier added.
Charles knows his decision to banish Andrew creates collateral damage for innocent family members.
"If it turns out they are not invited, or decide themselves not to go, then it makes it very difficult for for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie," Dampier explained.¹⁴
Even Prince William, who "does have a good relationship with his cousins," wouldn't want Beatrice and Eugenie excluded because of their parents' mistakes.¹⁵
But Charles faces mounting political pressure to protect the monarchy's reputation.
Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy called the king's decision "a truly brave, important, and correct step."¹⁶
A YouGov poll showed four in five Britons support Andrew losing his dukedom completely.¹⁷
The situation became so toxic that even Christmas couldn't heal these wounds.
Beatrice ultimately chose King Charles over her father, attending Sandringham after medical advice prevented her planned trip to Italy with her in-laws.¹⁸
Andrew spent Christmas 2024 isolated at Royal Lodge with only Sarah Ferguson for company — a dramatic fall for the man once considered the Queen's favorite son.
Charles sent a clear message: cross the crown, and you lose everything — including Christmas dinner with your own daughters.
