Rob Schneider used to be a good little Hollywood liberal, getting regular roles and even starring in some comedies.
But then he made the cardinal sin any Democrat can make – he disagreed with some items on the woke agenda, and the roles suddenly dried up.
But a new gig could be in Schneider’s future.
Late last year, comedic actor Rob Schneider garnered headlines when he departed his home state.
In an interview on Fox and Friends last October, the comedian said life doesn’t get better in California, it gets worse.
“I don’t want the Democratic party trying to run my life, and there’s not one aspect of your life they don’t want to interfere with, so I had it with them,” Schneider said. “I got out of California and moved to the slightly freer state of Arizona.”
And now Deuce Bigelow is helping his fans who feel the same way.
A Twitter (now X) user going by “super_markio” posed a question to Schneider that many traditional liberals who feel abandoned by their party are asking.
“I mean I get it both sides, they all suck…so dead serious question Rob, what do we do and where do we go from here,” he tweeted. “NOBODY is worth a vote…that’s just my opinion so where the hell do we go.”
Schneider saw the cry for help, rushed to “super_markio” side and slapped the black pill out of his hand in the way of some common-sense advice.
And it didn’t come in the form of a one-liner – Schneider put some thought into his long reply.
“Sometimes people tell me to ‘stay out of politics!’ But politics are the roads you drive on, the food you eat, the air you breathe, what your children get taught in school and, (what we all lived through) when Government can close schools and YOUR own business and try to make you take an experimental gene therapy or you can’t work at your job or fly somewhere,” Schneider tweeted. “As painful and time consuming as it is… YOU must get involved!”
To sum up the funny man’s argument, he’s saying it’s not enough to sit on your computer and complain about the state of politics – it’s an important enough part of everyone’s lives that more people need to get active.
But Schneider didn’t stop there, he listed specific things people can do.
“Show up at your kid’s School Board Meeting even if the current Biden Administration calls you a potential terrorist, (which they do!),” the comedian tweeted. “Politics works best local; go to a city council meeting, run for city council, see what your state legislators are up to, talk to your Mayor.”
And that’s when Schneider dropped the big bomb.
It turns out, the actor you see in almost every Adam Sandler movie has considered running for Governor himself.
“And if your wife will let you…Run for Governor,” Schneider tweeted. “My wife won’t let me!”
Reading between the lines of those sentences, it sounds like Schneider has given serious consideration to running for a top state office.
It is unclear if he was referencing the Governor’s mansion in the Golden State or the Grand Canyon State.
But Mrs. Schneider put the kibosh on the idea.
Schneider ended his tweet with a message every voter needs to hear.
“But my best advice is this: LOVE YOUR COUNTRY! LOVE YOUR FREEDOM,” Schneider tweeted. “Both are worth fighting for and dying for! And Just know that many people did give their lives for the Freedoms that you and me and our children enjoy!”
Perhaps Schneider’s wife will have a change of heart.
But more to his point, no one person will save America, but a bunch of individuals getting involved for the right reason just might.
