Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis is doing what he thinks is best for the people – and he doesn’t care what Big Media thinks about it.
His bold policies and straight talk have made him a star on the Right, but one of the biggest targets of the Left.
And now America’s Governor is celebrating his latest victory over Big Media by beating this reporter at her own game.
In a short amount of time, Republican Ron DeSantis has done a large amount of good as Governor of Florida.
The high marks and rankings keep rolling in for the Republican Governor of the Sunshine State.
America’s Governor’s most recent legislative victory came last week when he signed a new law specifying the public restrooms, locker rooms and changing rooms must be designated by biological sex.
And that was just the beginning.
This year alone, DeSantis has also expanded his Parental Rights in Education bill through middle school, banned gender-change operations and puberty blockers for minors, instituted age requirements for sexualized drag shows, made child rape a death penalty offense, banned abortions after six-weeks, cracked down on the trafficking and manufacturing fentanyl, outlawed New York-style cashless bail and early release reform, devested Florida’s retirement account from woke corporations like BlackRock, expanded the program flying illegal aliens to so-called “sanctuary cities,” ended Disney’s self- governing status, removed Critical Race Theory from Florida’s university system, and much more.
And Democrats and their Public Relations wing in the corporate-controlled media hate him for it.
DeSantis is used to handling Big Media attacks with “journalists” constantly trying to snare him with gotcha questions.
That’s exactly what Tara Palmeri of Puck News just attempted to do.
Palmeri took to social media to make it seem like she tried to get to know DeSantis as a person.
The reporter pushed the narrative that DeSantis doesn’t like people, and claimed the Governor ran away from her.
“I tried once more with DeSantis at the State House, peaceably following him down a stairwell asking him more questions, each of which he ignored,” Palmeri tweeted. “DeSantis seemed almost to be running away from me. The slow-motion chase ended with DeSantis behind the black tinted-windows of his S.U.V.”

Palmeri’s attempted hatchet job following her run in with DeSantis carried the subtitle, “Lessons from a day shadowing a press-averse and socially uncomfortable presidential hopeful.”
“On television, Ron DeSantis can come across as savvy, reasonably well media-trained, and sometimes aggressive. But in person, Tara immediately sensed a very different potential candidate,” a caption read.
However, DeSantis’ team was quick to reveal the real man behind the curtain in a tweet of their own.
It turns out, DeSantis’ team is squared away and recorded the entire incident.
Here are some of @tarapalmeri’s truly hard-hitting questions:
“I am Italian American too. Does that matter to you? … Why are you against Disney characters? Which one is your favorite one?" https://t.co/ombghdpCzO pic.twitter.com/eZ5PbbEJfU

In the above video, you can hear Palmeri screaming at DeSantis like a lunatic about her Italian heritage and DeSantis’ opposition to the woke Disney Corporation.
“Here are some of Tara Palmeri’s truly hard-hitting questions,” DeSantis’ War Room tweeted. “I am Italian American too. Does that matter to you? Why are you against Disney characters? Which one is your favorite one?”
And DeSantis’ rapid response director, Christina Pushaw, chimed in as only she can.
“Uhhh I think most people would ignore randoms ranting at them about their ancestry and opinions on cartoon characters,” Pushaw tweeted.
Pushaw’s post led to a host of Twitter users laughing at the unhinged Palmeri and her self-own.

Meanwhile, DeSantis continues to disabuse Big Media lemmings of any notion that they’ll be able to set the narrative on his watch.
