Joe Biden was left reeling after Chief Justice John Roberts interfered with one of the Biden administration’s most dangerous schemes – termination of Title 42.
At the 11th hour the Supreme Court issued an emergency order ahead of Christmas stopping the Biden regime from lifting a Trump-era policy that allows the federal government to boot illegal aliens caught crossing the border back out of the country fast.
Despite numerous ongoing court challenges, the Biden regime was stubbornly determined to end Title 42 on December 21.
That idea posed such an absolute disastrous situation that even unhinged left-wing radical Gavin Newsom, Governor of California, began warning that his state was going to be overrun by illegal aliens.
In fact, even as they bulldozed ahead with their unbelievably awful plan, the Biden regime itself predicted a massive invasion of 14,000 illegal aliens would wash over the southern border.
Leaders of states suing Biden over his destructive obsession with open borders were openly relieved when they got news of Chief Justice Roberts’ emergency order.
“This Court’s review is warranted given the enormous national importance of this case. It is not reasonably contestable that the failure to grant a stay will cause an unprecedented calamity at the southern border,” state Attorneys General representing 19 different states wrote in a statement.
Earlier, Texas Governor Greg Abbott warned that repealing Title 42 would create an unprecedented crisis in the Lone Star State.
“If the courts don’t intervene and put a halt of removal to the Title 42 it’s going to be total chaos,” Abbott explained. “It was known from the time that Joe Biden got elected that Joe Biden supported open borders. It is known by the cartels who have sophisticated information whether or not the Biden administration is going to enforce the immigration laws or not is known across the world but most importantly, known among the cartels.”
El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser already hit the panic button ahead of President Joe Biden’s planned crisis.
Leeser issued a state of emergency warning residents that local government and law enforcement could no longer guarantee their safety with the Biden regime set to end Title 42 and flood their city with illegal aliens.
“I said from the beginning that I would call [a state of emergency] when I felt that either our asylum-seekers or our community was not safe,” Leeser said. “I really believe that today our asylum-seekers are not safe as we have hundreds and hundreds on the streets, and that’s not the way we want to treat people.”
As the massive humanitarian crisis becomes increasingly desperate, Biden, most Democrats, and the corporate-controlled media are busy pretending that an open borders policy doesn’t exist.
But since he stepped foot in office, Biden has been doing everything he can to let millions of illegal aliens invade the country.
Thankfully, the Supreme Court has managed to provide some relief—but those living in border cities have to be wondering how long that temporary help will last.
The Supreme Court could decide as soon as today whether it will take up a case and rule or Title 42 on the merits or whether it will let it expire.
