Socialism and communism have killed hundreds of millions of people in the past hundred years.
But the Left is trying to bring it back, no matter the costs.
And socialism just got hit with a brutal defeat from one place that nobody saw coming.
Conservatives around the world are fighting to ensure that the evil ideology of socialism never truly rears its ugly head again.
Even in the U.S., there are politicians like Sen. Bernie Sanders trying to bring this evil ideology to his homeland.
But conservatives have largely held him back, to where he is mostly looked at and mocked for his insane ideas.
That isn’t the case in other countries.
In the United Kingdom, socialism has been a very real danger.
The Labour Party, which is an unapologetically socialist party, has worked for decades to gain control.
And in previous years have come close.
But all of their progress hit a brick wall following the country’s elections last week.
They faced heavy blows in working class areas they generally did well in, losing the working-class Hartlepool constituency, who they have held for decades by a whopping 23 points.
The Labour Party also lost 327 local councillor positions in England.
In the end, Britain’s Conservative Party maintained a strong majority, while the Labour Party was hit with a deathblow they may never recover from.
Following this news, Brexit leader Nigel Farage went on Fox News to declare that “socialism is dead in England.”
He blasted the Labour Party for their pro-open borders positions, citing that as a major factor for the major shift in votes.
“When you add to that the fact that Labour now wants to take the knee to Marxist organisations like Black Lives Matter, who are happy to see British history denounced, well, these people don’t want to vote Labour,” Farage said.
He added, “We know our history is not perfect, but most of us are very proud of what our little island has done for much of the world and when the left wants to constantly attack it, tear it down, make us feel ashamed of ourselves, it doesn’t work.”
“That’s why socialism is dead in England. Hurrah!” Farage exclaimed.
Farage said that the disaffected voters “came to me in their millions during Brexit, they’re now voting Conservative, they won’t go back.”
Conservatives in Britain truly have something to celebrate following these results.
