In 2023 and 2024 it was almost impossible to go anywhere and not see Taylor Swift.
Swift’s “Eras” tour set a new music industry record, selling more than a billion dollars in tickets.
Swift even took over the sports world as her presence at Kansas City Chiefs games to root on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, became a worldwide social media sensation.
But now, in early 2025, it’s hard to even catch a glimpse of Swift.
The Daily Mail reported that Swift hasn’t even been seen at her normal hangouts and that her Instagram feed has gone radio silent.
But it turns out there may be a very good reason Swift went underground.
Last December, actress Blake Lively, the wife of Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds – filed a bombshell lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, Lively’s co-star as well as the director and executive producer of the hit movie It Ends with Us.
Lively alleged Baldoni sexually harassed her and hired a public relations firm to run a smear campaign against her in the press in the run-up to the film’s release.
“Alongside allegations of entering her trailer uninvited while she was breastfeeding her child and making inappropriate statements regarding sex and porn on set, Lively accused Baldoni and his PR team — including Abel and Nathan — of planting stories in the media to tarnish her reputation,” People reported.
It Ends with Us drama
It Ends with Us was one of the breakout hits of 2024, grossing more than $351 million – Lively’s most commercially successful project to date – against a $25 million budget.
Baldoni filed a countersuit claiming Lively and Reynolds defamed him with a series of false allegations.
The suit included text messages from Lively that Baldoni claimed exonerated him.
“There was also the claim that Swift had been present at a meeting – held in January last year at Lively’s New York apartment – at which, Baldoni alleges, the actress, along with her husband Ryan Reynolds, aggressively confronted him over script changes, leaving Baldoni ‘in shock,’” People reported.
Swift was also named in the lawsuit as Baldoni claimed she was at Lively’s apartment in New York City where Lively and Reynolds berated him over script changes to the film.
The Daily Mail claimed Swift is staying out of sight to avoid the fallout from one of the ugliest Hollywood lawsuits that has ever struck the industry.
“Now, a source tells the Daily Mail that Swift is in hiding – as she battles against being dragged into her long-time friend Blake Lively’s messy legal spat with Justin Baldoni,” the Daily Mail reported.
Not only is Swift reportedly staying out of sight, she is staying away from Lively, and the Mail reports the two are no longer on speaking terms as Swift allegedly believes Lively took advantage of her.
“Swift and Lively were close until this legal battle began – the singer is godmother to Lively’s three young daughters – but the crisis has rocked the foundations of their decade-long friendship, with insiders saying Swift now feels ‘used,’” the Mail report added.
