Government school bureaucrats fell in love with The New York Times’ Nikole Hannah-Jones false history.
It became a lynch-pin in the Left’s push to indoctrinate American kids with Critical Race Theory.
But the 1619 Project race hustle just got exposed in a major way thanks to Fox Business and these Conservative students.
Democrats are trying to pretend they aren’t teaching Critical Race Theory (CRT) in American classrooms.
The biggest proponents of the race hustle cashed in on their “expertise”—and you’re footing the bill.
Nikole Hannah-Jones rewrote history.
The author created “The 1619 Project “ as a writer at The New York Times—and has now published bestselling books for adults and children that reframe United States history to look at everything that happened through the lens of slavery.
Now, Fox Business has dug up plenty of proof that the writer who helped popularize CRT in American culture is making insane amounts of money for speaking engagements across the US.
The University of North Carolina in Wilmington paid her more than $16,500 plus travel expenses and food for a 55-minute event in May.
That same month the Oregon Department of Education and the Oregon Alliance of Black School Educators paid her $50,000 to speak at two events.
Most likely the disadvantaged students the program is supposed to help could have figured out a better way to spend the money. (Could we possibly attribute their absenteeism to a dislike for liberal propaganda?)
Campus Reform also reported that the University of Oregon paid $25,000 to have Hannah-Jones appear at a virtual speaker event in April.
And what did the university get for all that moolah? Certainly not a chance to experience her eloquence a second time. According to Campus Reform, “The signup page said that the event ‘will not be recorded or available for on-demand viewing.’”
During a Harvard event in 2020 Hannah-Jones said, “at least one group has contacted Pulitzer about creating a curriculum and that an unnamed university in New York is also working on one.”
Hannah-Jones isn’t the only leftist cashing in on CRT. In November 2020 the University of Michigan paid Ibram X. Kendi $20,000 to appear in an hour-long virtual event where he promoted his book, Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America.
Based on what we now know about how they like to get paid, it’s no wonder Democrats keep claiming CRT isn’t being used in the curriculums of US schools yet—their pals have untold millions of dollars yet to leech from taxpayers still.
