No current or former Member of Congress has the breadth of legal knowledge Trey Gowdy possesses.
And few, if any, have done more to investigate and expose Democrats’ corruption.
Now the Biden regime is shaking in its boots after Trey Gowdy revealed the truth Merrick Garland is hiding.
To date, the Biden regime has gone to great lengths to keep the American people totally in the dark on the supposed rationale for raiding the home of a former President of the United States, as if America had magically transformed into a third-world, banana republic overnight.
Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice fought tooth-and-nail to prevent the release of even a redacted version of the affidavit which authorized the raid.
A redacted version that once it was released, was merely 38-pages of black boxes without even a shred of actual evidence or justification for the raid other than the Biden DOJ and FBI claiming it was justified – very comforting.
But while most in the media have merely accepted the Biden regime’s claims and dutifully took their marching orders to pretend everything is above board, former Congressman turned Fox News host Trey Gowdy is not one of them.
Gowdy, who was also a former federal prosecutor, was never shy about supporting some of the Deep State’s top priorities while he was in Congress, including expanding the power of the Justice Department by supporting warrantless wiretapping and by voting to reauthorize the Patriot Act.
But he has just about had it with the Biden regime’s games, and he issued a major challenge to Merrick Garland that Democrats are too cowardly to accept.
“Many Americans still have questions,” Gowdy said. “These questions are not political. They are factual and legal. ”If you are contemplating indicting a former President, I think we’re entitled to more than 38 pages of black lines and DOJ leaks – clearly, the department is talking to liberal reporters.”
The Washington Post and New York Times, amongst many other outlets, have routinely reported outlandish stories based on “anonymous sources” in the Biden DOJ and FBI to push ridiculous claims about the investigation into the former President, including the fabricated claim that he was selling nuclear secrets.
But those are just distractions, just like the heavily redacted 38-pages contained in the affidavit.
As far as Gowdy is concerned, Merrick Garland needs to put his big boy pants on, stop hiding behind the DOJ’s walls, and “give us what you’ve got.”
“If you’re going to tell the story, tell it all and tell everyone, tell the American people,” Gowdy implored. “Don’t claim you can’t comment on uncharged conduct – if there is a case to indict a former President, give us what you got.”
Of course, Merrick Garland can’t, and won’t, take Gowdy up on his challenge to show the American people the goods on Donald Trump.
If the Attorney General were to come clean and put it all out there for the public to see and make up their own minds, yet another left-wing witch hunt would be exposed as nothing more than a politically motivated tear down of Donald Trump.
With the Midterm elections just two months away, Democrats simply cannot afford to have the Mar-A-Lago raid exposed for the hefty bit of political theater it was.
And that’s also why, even if Democrats foolishly choose to continue barking up this tree, Merrick Garland will not indict Donald Trump until after November’s Midterms, and most likely shortly after he announces his candidacy for 2024.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t about “classified” or “top secret” documents, or any of the other claims, like being a “threat to democracy,” Democrats have peppered Trump with – it’s all about winning Democrats elections.
“If it’s about the return of documents, they are back now,” Gowdy pointed out. “So why is the DOJ saying that the investigation is just beginning? What’s at stake are two foundational beliefs, that no one is above or beneath the law – not even former Presidents – and number two, similar facts should lead to similar outcomes.”
“Justice should be the same for everyone,” the former Congressman continued. “And never be used as a political weapon. This is important for the country. So give us more than 38 pages of redacted nothingness.”
When it takes a former Congressman who supported warrantless wiretaps and the reauthorization of the Patriot Act to point out that the Biden regime needs to be more transparent, there’s an issue.
But at the end of the day, at least someone in the corporate-controlled media is trying to hold the Biden regime’s feet to the fire.
Besides, the rest of the media were probably too busy practicing their ‘Heil Biden’ salutes to worry about such trivial matters as the actual “threats to democracy.”
