Fox News appears to be regaining the popularity they lost leading up to the 2020 Presidential election.
This, of course, has the Left up in arms and demanding the network be taken off the air.
But the CEO of Fox News just made this shocking statement about the network’s outlook.
In a recent question and answer session, Lachlan Murdoch, Fox News CEO and son to media mogul Rupert Murdoch, commented about the network and its audience that shocked some.
According to Murdoch, Fox News considers its opinion hosts to be center-right, which allows the network to appeal to a far larger audience.
Murdoch stated that the vast majority of Middle America is center-right by nature.
So Murdoch is okay with letting Democrat-controlled networks like CNN and MSNBC have the vast majority of Liberal viewers in the country.
The CEO also says he welcomes conservative competitors such as Newsmax, which leans to the Right of Fox.
“We’re confident in our journalism, confident in our reporting. We’re very happy with our opinion hosts. You have to be willing to have competition, and we see that very clearly,” Murdoch said.
Murdoch went on to say that Fox News has more independent voters watching than any other network out there.
“If you look at Fox News, we have more independent voters than any other network. The share that we are taking, today and in the last months, has been off CNN. The share is coming from the center or the center-left. That goes to our programming. We have more diverse voices than any other network. We have hosts, and we have guests and contributors from the entire political spectrum, and that’s very important to us,” Murdoch concluded.
It was touch and go for Fox leading up to the 2020 election as many viewers were tired of the program hosts coverage, but it appears that Fox is once again in the number one spot.
The constant Leftist dribble by CNN and MSNBC has likely helped to bolster Fox’s ratings, and the fact that many Democrats stopped tuning into those networks after Biden won undoubtedly was an added bonus for Fox.
Murdoch and his team’s strategy has paid off, and it looks like Fox will be holding that number one spot for a long time to come.
