Donald Trump is putting all of his cards on the table during his second term.

He just made one announcement that conservatives have been waiting decades for.

And the Democrat Party has entered full panic mode after Donald Trump issued this one massive military order.

Donald Trump finally deputizes Texas National Guard

Former President Joe Biden’s open border policy has hit Texas harder than any other state.

In 2021, with Biden completely absent at the wheel, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the launch of Operation Lone Star.

The operation grabbed headlines for the fact that it was the largest state-led border security measure that has ever taken place in history.

But the operation was seen as highly controversial since Texas was unable to completely secure their southern border due to the lack of jurisdiction to enforce federal immigration law.

State and local law enforcement, as well as troops in the Texas National Guard, did not have the ability to arrest illegal aliens hopping the border from Mexico because enforcement of immigration law belongs strictly to the federal government.

As a result, Senate Bill 4 in the Texas legislature was ultimately signed into law by Governor Abbott which authorized any law enforcement in the state to arrest illegal border crossers for trespassing.

As a result of this measure, the Biden administration immediately filed a lawsuit against the state of Texas to prevent the law from going into effect, and as a result, the effort has been stuck in the court system since.

With Donald Trump now in the White House, however, everything is going to change.

Trump has indicated that he is more than willing to welcome the Texas National Guard’s support in arresting illegal aliens trespassing in the United States.

Texas National Guard receives new powers to secure the border

The Acting Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Pete Flores announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Governor Abbott which will authorize Texas National Guardsmen to arrest illegal aliens in Texas.

The MOU massively expands the United States’ ability to enforce immigration law, allowing the National Guard to fully investigate and arrest illegal aliens just like the Border Patrol.

They also obtained the ability to transport these illegal aliens to detention centers and even allowed them to immediately deport them back.

This new strategy proves that the Trump administration is embracing every bit of help they can find to address the previously ignored crisis taking place at the southern border.

In a recent interview with CBS News, Abbott celebrated the decision.

“The Trump administration reached out to see if we would be interested in doing that, and I immediately said yes,” stated Abbott.

“For one, the National Guard has been down on the border for years now under the Biden administration, but they did not have the full authority that the federal government immigration officers had,” he continued.

“Now they do because of this agreement. It is needed because of this,” added the Texas Governor.

He also pointed out that Trump had inherited a serious problem when he returned to the White House – the federal government was severely short-staffed in this department.

“Trump inherits a federal government that… is short-handed for ICE, for Border Patrol, for other people who are involved in the immigration control process,” explained Abbott.

“We can make sure that they immediately, overnight, have additional personnel who can help enforce the immigration laws,” he assured. “And that’s why I wanted to do it.”

As of now, there are already roughly 1,600 active duty service members of the United States military at the southern border, authorized by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, to help enforce border security.

“Whatever is needed at the border will be provided,” Hegseth informed reporters following his deployment.

Trump has made it clear that there is no shortage of options for him to enforce border security and locking down Biden’s open border.

Texas having the ability to finally arrest illegal aliens is a massive boost to seeing that through.
