Now the FBI has been caught red-handed—and what recently released January 6 footage reveals is shaking up everything.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy created an uproar when he gave Fox News’ Tucker Carlson exclusive access security camera footage from January 6, 2021.
The footage Carlson began playing left his viewers slack-jawed.
One of the most significant aspects surrounded the actions of so-called “QAnon Shaman” Jacob Chansley.
Chansley got slapped with a 41-month prison sentence on charges he was involved in “obstructing a federal proceeding.”
The Trump supporter’s wild appearance quickly made him the target of federal prosecutors who capitalized on images of Chansley with a bare chest, painted face, and his unforgettable furry, horned Viking head piece.
The Biden regime was quick to paint him as a sort of Conan the Barbarian figure.
However, footage Carlson shared shows a vastly different take on the situation.
Not only were members of the Capitol Police caught on camera leading a calm Chansley around the Capitol, they went as far as unlocking a door so he could enter the Senate chamber.
The existence of this newly released footage came as a bombshell revelation to Chansley’s attorney who says the defense team was never provided with this evidence.
According to George Washington Law Professor Jonathan Turley, the DOJ chose to sit on that footage rather than provide it to Chansley’s defense team.
Turley wrote about what he discovered when he dug into the issue:
I spoke with Chansley’s new counsel, Bill Shipley, and confirmed that defense counsel did not have this material.
In the hearing, federal prosecutor Kimberly Paschall played videos showing Chansley yelling along with the crowd and insisted “that is not peaceful.”
That portrayal of Chansley would have been more difficult to maintain if the Court was allowed to see images of Chansley casually walking through a door of the Capitol with hundreds of other protesters and then being escorted by officers through the Capitol. At no point is he violent and at no point is he shown destroying evidence. Instead, he dutifully follows the officers who facilitate his going eventually to the unoccupied Senate floor.
Turley says Chansely would have ended up in prison even with the additional evidence, but it would likely have resulted in a much lighter sentence.
Leftists are completely losing it over this new revelation.
They’re claiming that Carlson deployed some sort of mad editing skills to alter reality.
But the truth is obvious: the Biden regime and Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 Committee spent more than two years doing their best to hide the evidence about what really happened from the American public.
