The abortion issue is currently before the Supreme Court.
Americans on both sides of the aisle are nervous.
And the Left is infuriated after Mike Pence urged the Supreme Court to take this one action.
The Supreme Court recently heard oral arguments in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, which will ultimately decide the constitutionality of Mississippi’s ban on abortions after 15 weeks.
This gives the Court a rare opportunity to overturn Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion-on-demand across America.
And during a recent speech at the National Press Club, Mike Pence cited the great harm that legalized abortion has inflicted on families, society, and our culture as a reason for the Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.
“The truth is nothing has been more destabilizing in our society for the last 50 years than legalized abortion … I believe it’s no coincidence that the last half century has seen a persistent rise in family instability, single-parent households, a decline in family formation, increase in unplanned pregnancies, and an explosion in sexually transmitted disease,” Pence stated.
Pence added that “in the 48 years since the court’s ruling, unborn children have been relegated into a caste of second-class citizens – devoid of the most basic human rights.”
Currently, more than 1,000,000 unborn babies are aborted each year in the United States, totaling roughly 62,000,000 babies aborted since the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.
That’s why Mike Pence called abortion a “tool of eugenics.”
Of course, the Dobbs case gives the Supreme Court a chance to right this historical wrong.
But a final decision won’t be handed down until the very end of the Court’s term in June.
However, both sides agree that the Court’s conservative majority may end up overturning Roe v. Wade.
In fact, Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion mill in America, even wrote that “the stakes for abortion access have never been higher” than they are right now.
And Pence along with millions of Americans are urging the Court to use this opportunity to end the tragedy of abortion-on-demand in America.
