Since Joe Biden began rolling out his open borders agenda on his first day in office, the United States’ southern border has been in crisis.
States stretching across the more than 1,200-mile southern border are being overrun and ravished by the chaos the Biden regime has unleashed.
But these judges’ decision on Joe Biden’s border crisis is about to change everything for illegal immigration.
No state in America may have been more impacted by the Biden border crisis than Texas.
With the Biden regime actively deciding to abandon border security for open borders, Texas authorities have been forced to take matters into their own hands to protect the people of the state from the havoc being caused by almost daily, massive influxes of illegal aliens.
As such, Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) launched Operation Lone Star — a massive, state-led border security effort in which Texas National Guard and state law enforcement have been deployed to help secure the state’s border — last March.
And to date, in conjunction with border patrol agents, Operation Lone Star has resulted in the apprehension of over 270,000 illegal aliens crossing Texas’ border illegally.
But under current federal law, less than 23,000 have reportedly been returned to their home countries, as state authorities are required to turn any illegal aliens they apprehend over to the federal government.
However, that could soon change, as Fox News has reported that judges in the border communities hit hardest by Biden’s border crisis are about to take an unprecedented step to stop the invasion inflicting the state.
According to Fox News, Kinney County Judge Tully Shahan, and as many as 12-15 other counties, are expected to soon issue a declaration of invasion.
Under a declaration of invasion, Governor Abbott would be given the power to “act under the constitutional authority granted unto him under Article 4, Section 7 of the Texas Constitution and Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution and immediately prevent and/or remove all persons invading the sovereignty of Texas and that of the United States.”
To translate, that means that by issuing a declaration of invasion, these counties would enable law enforcement acting under Governor Abbott’s Operation Lone Star to deport illegal aliens back to their home countries, rather than turning them over to the Biden federal government.
Essentially, these judges could – in one foul swoop – stop the endless cycle currently taking place in Texas where authorities apprehend illegal aliens, only to have the Biden administration release them right back into the state for the cycle to simply continue in one continuous loop.
“We are taking unprecedented steps with the hope of encouraging Gov. Greg Abbott to acknowledge the existence of an invasion on our border with Mexico and take necessary actions to preserve and protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Texas,” Judge Shahan stated.
Based on Governor Abbott’s track record thus far, it’s hard to envision a scenario in which he doesn’t do just that.
The Biden regime has forced the hands of states like Texas.
And now it’s up to conservative Governors to clean up the mess Joe Biden has made.
