Democrats are on a mission to silence, censor, and outright destroy all those who dare to question their so-called “mainstream” narrative.
That starts with destroying Fox News.
And Congressman Eric Swallwell’s (D-CA) plan for banning Fox News will turn you red with rage.
The legacy media have obviously seized on the lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems against Fox News, which alleges that the network intentionally pushed so-called “disinformation” when they reported on former President Donald Trump’s allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 election.
And leading the bloodthirsty pack of self-proclaimed “journalist” hyenas is none other than the talking heads at MSNBC, who want nothing more than to see the one network that towers over all the rest in the ratings destroyed forever.
MSNBC talking heads have put on a full-court press to push the Biden regime to unilaterally impose regulations against the network, or even outright shut Fox News down, as if the First Amendment didn’t exist and America was suddenly an authoritarian dictatorship run by Joe Biden.
In a recent interview, MSNBC’s Katie Phang expressed her fears over the supposed “harm” Fox News caused while discussing the Dominion case with radical left-wing Congressman Eric Swalwell.
While laying out Democrats’ case for exactly how anything they oppose is “misinformation” or “disinformation,” Phang outright asked Swalwell to have the federal government begin censoring Fox News’ content.
“Has there been any discussions in Congress about maybe Congressional oversight, regulations, maybe the FCC getting involved?” Phang asked the Democrat Congressman. “I know we all respect the First Amendment, Congressman, but should there be some type of gatekeeping that happens so that this doesn’t happen again?”
Of course, anytime someone even mentions “gatekeeping” as any form of a “solution,” freedom-loving Americans should run the other direction, as it obviously implies the same type of “gatekeeping” of freedom of speech seen in socialist authoritarian regimes, like those in North Korea and China.
But Rep. Swalwell, who was famously compromised recently by a Communist Chinese spy he allegedly had an affair with, was undeterred by Phang’s suggestion.
In fact, he even embraced it, and went so far as to openly suggest that Democrats’ first step to banning Fox News is having it banned from being aired on U.S. military bases.
“Nothing makes them feel more like home than their access to American television programming,” Swalwell said, explaining why banning Fox News on military bases would have such a major impact on banning it nationwide.
“I don’t want to get in the business of telling troops what they can and cannot watch,” he added. “But, if you have a news station that a court is going to rule is, in its evening hour, you know, perpetuating dis- and misinformation, I don’t know if I disagree with VoteVets, who was saying that we need to take a look at, you know, how this is being broadcast to our troops.”
The Democrat Congressman concluded by offering Phang and MSNBC’s radical left-wing viewers hope that Democrats aren’t “without complete recourse” when it comes to destroying the First Amendment and banning Fox News.
Make no mistake about it, what Rep. Swalwell and many other Democrats, especially those at MSNBC, are calling for is the implementation of Communist Chinese-style authoritarian control over the media.
It’s that transparent – Democrats are literally attempting to seize total control over Fox News so they can exercise that power over the rest of the media to ensure nothing but their talking points are regurgitated on repeat.
Needless to say, Democrats’ anti-free speech efforts would make North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un proud.
