Many thought Fox News executives made a grave mistake when they “parted ways” with Tucker Carlson and watched ratings tank across the network.
But the truth is they’re actually getting exactly what they’ve wanted all along.
And now this Fox News host’s adamant rant against one Republican investigation into Joe Biden will make you miss Tucker Carlson.
House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) recently held a press conference in which he revealed that bank records have indicated that the Biden family intentionally sought to conceal some $10 million in payments from foreign nations, like Communist China and Romania.
Democrats and their media allies predictably dismissed the bank record evidence as if it was all just made up out of thin air.
But joining them in those efforts was Fox News’ Steve Doocy, who went on a rant in which he claimed Republicans don’t actually have any evidence to back up their claims, and therefore, have nothing that suggests President Joe Biden has done anything wrong.
“I know the Republicans said that the smoking gun were these financial records that you were able to subpoena and got your hands on,” Doocy said. “They show that some of the President’s relatives were paid more than $10 million from foreign sources between 2015 and 2017. And your party, the Republican investigators, say that that’s proof of influence peddling by Hunter and James. But that’s just your suggestion. You don’t actually have any facts to that point. You have got some circumstantial evidence.”
“And the other thing is of all those names, the one person who didn’t profit is . . . there’s no evidence that Joe Biden did anything illegally,” he added.
Based on the Democrat talking points being regurgitated by Doocy and the rest of the self-proclaimed “journalists” in the media, it’s rather clear they missed what Rep. Comer actually said during his press conference.
In explaining that it is the Committee’s belief – based on their investigations and informant testimony that hasn’t been publicly disclosed – that the Biden family setup a complex web of shell companies and bank accounts to conceal their alleged influence peddling scheme, making it difficult for the totality of their scheme to be readily apparent.
As such, Comer pointed to an example the Committee uncovered in which members of the Biden family received millions of dollars in payments from a company in Romania that had prior connections to Hunter Biden.
Coincidentally – but reportedly almost definitely not – those payments just happened to begin right after the then-President of Romania visited then-Vice President Joe Biden at the Obama White House.
It was clear to anyone who actually watched Rep. Comer’s press conference that he was pointing to such an example to show just how coincidental these payments supposedly are, and – as he repeated extensively – that it was still early in a complex investigation that will take considerable time to truly unravel and prove beyond a reasonable doubt.
But also as the Congressman pointed out, at this point in the process, there is more evidence, whistleblowers, and informants coming forward almost every single day.
“We know the complexity of the way the Bidens set these shell companies up were made to try to disguise, not only the money they were receiving, but also Joe’s involvement,” Comer explained. “We’re at the very beginning stages of this but in talking with the informants that we have, some of the Biden associates that nobody’s heard from yet, we know that Joe Biden was actively involved and we’re still looking for more bank records that we believe will implicate Joe Biden’s active participation in this at the end of the day.”
As with any wrongdoing committed by Democrats, the media and woke left-wing outrage mob will universally claim that President Biden and his family are completely innocent until the bitter end.
But the idea that Fox News is now joining the effort just goes to show that at the end of the day, when push really comes to shove, the ruling class elites will always stick together.
Anyone who’s paid attention knew this exact sort of thing was inevitable after Fox News fired Tucker Carlson – why else would the most popular cable news network fire the most popular cable news host, tanking their ratings across the board, if not to fundamentally transform the platform into one that will be accepted by left-wing ruling class elites?
And now, it may only be a matter of time before Fox News begins airing “drag queen story hour” in its primetime lineup.
