The Never-Trump coalition seems to be losing steam.
No matter how hard they try to oust Donald Trump from the Republican Party, the GOP continues to align with the former president and Never Trumpers are finding themselves politically homeless.
And this Never-Trump Republican gets what he’s had coming after months kissing up to the Democrats, now they’re abandoning him.
Joe Biden has fallen very short of being the savior the Never-Trump gang thought he’d be.
Many of these so-called Republicans have bet their careers on pushing Trump out of the GOP altogether, and they’ve sold their souls to the Democrats to do so.
Unfortunately, the “anybody but Trump” crowd is quickly realizing that kowtowing to the Democrat Party doesn’t mean future success.
One of the most well-known Never-Trumpers in the House of Representatives is supposed Republican Adam Kinzinger of Illinois.
Kinzinger was one of ten House Republicans who voted to impeach President Trump a second time.
He’s also one of only two Republicans serving on Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 commission.
And now the Congressman realizes that all that brown-nosing with Pelosi and the Democrats hasn’t gotten him very far.
In fact, the Democrats are actively working against him.
Democrats in Illinois are preparing to redraw Kinzinger’s seat during the upcoming redistricting to ensure it’s a safe Democrat pickup for the next decade.
Looks like all of Kinzinger’s attempts to take down Donald Trump still didn’t earn him any clout with the Democrats he bowed down to.
Now he’s a Congressman with no friends on either side of the aisle.
The Illinois State Legislature and the Governor’s office are both controlled by Democrats, so they have total say over the redistricting process. They want more Democrats in the U.S. House, so it only makes sense they’re trying to push Kinzinger out.
Congressman Kinzinger’s future looks bleak.
He doesn’t have the backing of the Democrats like he thought he would, and he has completely torpedoed any chance of gaining the conservative Republican vote, so he’s out of options.
Most are predicting a bloodbath for the Democrats in the 2022 midterm elections, and that applies to these Never-Trump Republicans too.
Voters are mad, and many are equally infuriated at the turncoat Republicans as they are at the Democrats.
Unless something changes drastically, Kinzinger looks to be in big trouble.
