Now that the Dems have Trump out of their way, they are pushing full steam ahead to get their agenda rammed through Congress.
It seems like a number of turncoat Republicans are actually on board with the Democrat agenda.
And now this Never-Trumper may be transitioning to a Democrat and this MSNBC interview proves it.
Michael Steele, the former RNC chairman, is sounding a lot like a Democrat these days.
Steele has spent the last five years spewing his hatred of Donald Trump and Trump supporters.
In a recent interview with Brian Williams on MSNBC, Steele even went so far as to side with the Democrats on the issue of a $15 minimum wage.
But Krysten Sinema and seven other Democrats voted against the minimum wage hike.
Steele started by bashing Sinema for her curtsy as she voted down the measure and then went on to criticize Republicans.
“What is ironic about that – and it’s actually rather insulting ‘cause we know probably John McCain would have voted to increase the minimum wage . . . so that’s outright insulting to – on so many levels. Okay, so now the childishness is done,” Steele stated.
Steele continued, “Clearly, the minimum wage was probably a little bit too far at this point. But it doesn’t mean it’s too far later on. Because as the recovery takes hold, make the case for those things that matter.”
Why is a so-called Republican pushing for a minimum wage hike?
Sadly, it looks like Steele has gone the way of so many other “Republicans” by supporting a leftist agenda and bashing the Right.
Well-known economists like Thomas Sowell have spent decades pulling apart the arguments in favor of the minimum wage.
It should come as no surprise, especially given the shaky pandemic economy, that a boost in the minimum wage will hurt small businesses and lead to higher unemployment rates.
Forced minimum wage hikes can be deadly to small businesses.
But those facts don’t seem to matter to the Democrats or RINOs like Michael Steele.
