38-year-old entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy’s sudden rise in Republican polls has sent a message the political establishment doesn’t want to hear.
Democrats and RINOs have been doing their best to snuff out the Make America Great Again movement by attacking Donald Trump at every turn.
But results from the first GOP debate where Trump wasn’t present has the “MAGA” Republicans leftists despise so much only growing stronger.
One poll after another following the debate shows that Ramaswamy is currently Republicans’ number two choice for president.
Those new poll numbers make Ramaswamy this election cycle’s surprise breakout candidate.
Emerson polling director Spencer Kimball noted that Ramaswamy’s increasing popularity is cutting into Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ poll numbers.
“Ramaswamy has improved among Republican voters with a postgraduate degree, a group that has previously been part of the DeSantis’ base. In the June Emerson poll, 38% of postgraduates supported DeSantis in the primary, which has dropped to 14% this month. Instead, 17% support Ramaswamy and 32% Trump,” Kimball explained.
Ramaswamy’s rise can be attributed to his decision to position himself as the America First alternative on the debate stage by focusing on basic truths about family, gender, race, patriotism, and what it means to be an American who flies in the face of the Left’s woke agenda.
TRUTH.
1. God is real.
2. There are two genders.
3. Human flourishing requires fossil fuels.
4. Reverse racism is racism.
5. An open border is no border.
6. Parents determine the education of their children.
7. The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to… pic.twitter.com/O4LvE014gW— Vivek Ramaswamy (@VivekGRamaswamy) August 17, 2023
Ramaswamy even went as far as laying out a plan to shutter the FBI and get rid of 75 percent of federal bureaucrats.
Ramaswamy also promised to follow George Washington’s advice that the then-young nation avoid foreign entanglements.
Ramaswamy is the only other candidate in the race who agrees with Donald Trump that Joe Biden’s reckless war in Ukraine needs to be shut down.
Back in 2016, Donald Trump proved that Republican voters will support an outsider candidate willing to put America First and drain the swamp in Washington, D.C.
Now, Emerson’s poll is proving that sentiment is just as strong—and maybe even stronger—than ever.
Together Trump and Ramaswamy have locked up the support of two thirds of Republican voters.
