When Joe Biden is sworn in as the 46th President at noon on Wednesday, January 20, Democrats will have total control of the entire Federal Government.
Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are champing at the bit to ram through their socialist agenda the moment Joe Biden takes his oath of office.
But this one Senate Democrat just went on Fox News and ruined Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi’s plans.
West Virginia Democrat Senator Joe Manchin likes to call himself a more moderate, conservative Democrat.
But nothing could be further from the truth.
After all, in 2010, Joe Manchine promised to defend our Second Amendment freedoms when running for office, only to turn around and try to help Barack Obama create a national database of every gun owner in the country.
Which is why Republicans should not trust Manchin when he says he will not vote to abolish the filibuster, like he did in a recent interview with Fox News.
“It’s all the same. Nothing’s changed,” Manchin told host Brett Baier when asked about supporting the Democrats’ nuclear option.
But that’s not all Joe Manchin said.
He also ruined Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer’s plan to impeach Trump before his term ends on January 20.
“I don’t see that and I think the House should know that also. We’ve been trying to send that message over. They know the votes aren’t there. […] I think this is so ill-advised for Joe Biden to be coming in, trying to heal the country, trying to be the President of all the people when we’re going to be so divided and fighting again. Let the judicial system do its job, Bret. […] Let that take its place. Let the investigations go on. Let the evidence come forth, and then we’ll go forth from there. There’s no rush to do this impeachment now. We can do it later if they think it’s necessary,” Manchin said when asked about impeaching Trump.
Of course, based on his past history of flip-flopping, Republicans should not trust Joe Manchin when he says he will oppose nuking the filibuster, packing the Supreme Court, and impeaching Trump.
If Chuck Schumer offers him the right deal, he’s liable to flip-flop just like he has so many times in the past.
