Former Vice Presidents usually keep pretty quiet about politics except if they run for the Oval office.
No one’s heard much from Dan Quayle or Dick Cheney in a while and Al Gore has stuck to so-called “global warming” and “climate change.”
But a pre-Trump Vice President went on CNN and said something about the 2020 election that will leave you scratching your head.
During a recent interview with CNN, Al Gore ripped Donald Trump for refusing to concede defeat in the 2020 election, claiming the results weren’t even close and accusing Trump of threatening Democracy.
“The refusal of the former President to acknowledge that he lost by 7 million votes — it wasn’t close for God’s sake — and apparently a majority of his party is still so enthralled to him that they still believe that the American people did not make the judgment that they clearly made,” Gore told CNN. “This is very damaging to our democracy.”
But even though Biden won the popular vote by 7 million, the number is very misleading on the surface.
In fact, when it comes to swing states like Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia, Biden only prevailed by 44,000 votes across the three.
Gore then attacked Republicans for creating what he called “artificial insanity.”
“We hear about AI standing for artificial intelligence. They’re putting another kind of AI out: artificial insanity,” Gore added. “They’re putting out messages that create an alternate reality, and people get into these echo chambers on the internet, and it’s all they hear, and they begin to believe the alternate reality.”
Of course, the fact that Al Gore, who contested the 2000 election for over a month, was criticizing Donald Trump for challenging the results of the 2020 election left many viewers scratching their heads.
But as usual, CNN refused to mention the fact that starting with Al Gore in 2000, Democrats have contested every election won by a Republican, including both of George W. Bush’s wins and Donald Trump’s 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton.
However, the Fake News Media never called those claims “attacks on Democracy” from “conspiracy theorists” like they do on the right.
This is yet another example of how the corporate-controlled media treats Democrats and Republicans completely differently.
