Republicans in the Senate are working behind the scenes with Democrats on a massive sellout.
The Right is fighting back.
And this RINO traitor was furious after Fox News asked him this one question on national TV.
Pennsylvania Senator and anti-gun RINO Pat Toomey is leading the efforts to craft a “bipartisan” gun-control bill with Chuck Schumer and the Democrats.
Of course, Toomey pushing for gun control is not surprising.
After all, Toomey co-sponsored a failed bill to create a national gun registration database in 2013.
Apparently, Toomey is still determined to disarm the American people.
Toomey seized on the tragedies in Buffalo and Uvalde to jump-start negotiations on a gun control deal.
During an interview with Fox News, anchor Bill Hemmer pointed out to Toomey that a national gun registration database is completely ineffective at stopping mass shootings.
“Okay. If you expanded your criminal background checks, Sandy Hook could have still happened. If you expand criminal background checks, what happened in Uvalde, Texas, still could still have happened,” Hemmer stated.
Since criminals aren’t buying their guns from dealers who perform background checks, Toomey admitted that gun control is a failed effort at stopping crime.
“Let me be very clear. There is no panacea here. There is no one thing that will prevent mass killings. All we can hope for in my view is on the margins make it more difficult for someone who is dangerously mentally ill or someone who is a violent criminal to buy a firearm and hope there is some kind of intervention in the meantime. A determined criminal is going to be able to eventually get a gun. I understand that. That doesn’t mean there is nothing we can do to make it harder for that person to get a gun,” Toomey declared.
The reality is that gun control is about disarming American citizens, not lowering or stopping crime.
Despite this fact, Toomey remains optimistic that enough of his RINO pals will cross over and join him in voting with Chuck Schumer and the Democrats on a massive gun control bill.
“I doubt very much we’ll have a vote by the end of the week, but it is possible that we would have a framework that could lead to specific legislation,” Toomey added. “That is still an ambitious timetable. But it’s very hard to predict how quickly it will come.”
Republicans are supposed to defend individual liberty and the U.S. Constitution.
But Pat Toomey and the RINOs are doing the exact opposite.
And many conservatives won’t miss RINOs like him one bit after he retires.
