Over the past four years, leaders of the Never-Trump movement heavily criticized Donald Trump’s behavior, saying his conduct offended America’s sense of morality and decency.
But a recent sexual scandal involving one top Never-Trump RINO exposed the hypocrisy of Trump’s critics.
And now this sexual message to a 14-year old boy could bring down the entire Never-Trump movement.
For years, John Weaver served as the top strategist for John McCain, John Kasich, and several other establishment, RINO Republicans.
And in 2019, along with several other failed Bush-era Republican political hacks and strategists, Weaver founded the Lincoln Project for the sole purpose of producing high-quality video ads attacking Donald Trump.
However, in January, Weaver resigned after The American Conservative exposed the fact that even though he is married with kids he had been secretly sending sexually suggestive messages to young men to “groom” them into a sexual relationship.
But apparently it wasn’t just young men that Weaver was trying to have sexual relationships with.
Weaver also tried to seduce a 14-year old boy.
The New York Times reported:
“I remember being a 14-year-old kid interested in politics and being semi-starstruck by John Weaver engaging in a conversation with me,” said Mr. Trickle Miele, now 19.
At the time, he supported the Republican Party and was a fan of Mr. Kasich, the Ohio governor whom Mr. Weaver was helping prepare to join the presidential race.
But as the messages kept coming, he became uncomfortable.
In June 2018, Mr. Weaver asked, “Are you in HS still?” — referring to high school — and Mr. Trickle Miele said that he was, and that he would be 18 the next spring. “You look older,” Mr. Weaver replied.
“You’ve gotten taller.”
Of course, Weaver’s fellow co-founders at the Lincoln Project claim they are shocked and surprised by Weaver’s behavior.
But rumors of Weaver’s true nature had circulated for years in Republican circles.
In fact, Karl Rove once accused Weaver of hitting on a young male staffer, a claim that was publicly disputed in a 2004 Atlantic article.
And now Weaver just had to resign after his true nature was recently exposed.
So far, two other Lincoln Project co-founders have resigned, leaving the remaining co-founders worried that the big money fat cats who funded this vanity project will be frightened off by Weaver’s behavior and thus be the end of the Never-Trump movement in America.
