Political observers expect Ruth Bader Ginsberg will be next Justice to step down and retire from the Supreme Court.
At 87, her age is catching up to her and her health has been questioned recently.
And now this shocking announcement about Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s replacement has all hell breaking loose.
The Democrat Party is moving full steam ahead to nominate former Vice President Joe Biden as their presidential candidate.
After the fall out of another Democrat Establishment routing of Senator Bernie Sanders, Biden will need to find a way to unite the Democrat Party ideologically and demographically if he is to stand a chance to win in November.
The problem Biden faces is that young members of his party see him as an old, establishment crony who will be chewed up and spit out by Trump when it matters.
So, during the last debate, Biden took measures to try and win over the young “woke” generation of liberals by playing into identity politics.
Biden announced that the first judicial appointment he makes as president if he wins will be a black woman.
“Number one, I committed that if I’m elected president, to have an opportunity to appoint someone to the courts who will be – I will appoint the first black woman to the courts,” Biden started.
“It’s required that they have representation now. It’s long overdue,” Biden exclaimed.
Most who have been monitoring the Court think that Ginsberg is holding out in hopes of a Democrat winning the White House in 2020.
So, if Biden does win, it is very likely we see Ginsberg step down quickly and allow Biden to name a successor.
Biden did however make it very clear during the debate that qualifications and ideology really were not all that important when considering his potential first nomination to the Court as he put identity politics front and center in a plea for young “woke” liberals to rally with him.
If Biden wins and with little to no ideological criteria, we can expect him to pick one of the most radical leftist justices America has ever seen.
So long as the nominee is black and is a woman, Biden will be keeping his campaign promise.
But the possibility of Biden nominating a radical Supreme Court nominee with minimal, if any, qualifications who simply just checks an identity politics box is something that voters will need to consider carefully this November.
