Tucker Carlson recently dropped a massive January 6 bombshell that could very well call a lot of the narrative surrounding that day into question.
That’s obviously a major problem for the ruling class elites.
And this top Democrat’s response to Tucker Carlson’s January 6 bombshell will render you speechless.
One of the primary promises Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) made to the roughly 20 Republicans who withheld support for his Speakership back was that he would release all of the security footage recorded on the Capitol’s grounds during the events of January 6, 2021.
Journalists, watchdog groups, and conservative voters had been calling for the footage to be released to the public in order for the American people to be able to see what happened with their own eyes rather than through the lens of short clips handpicked by former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) January 6 Committee.
And to the surprise of many, Speaker McCarthy is actually following through with that promise by releasing the footage to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson and his team of journalists and producers.
But of course, after Carlson announced the news, teasing that his team would soon begin releasing the footage and their findings, Democrats flew off the handle and demanded that only the footage handpicked by their January 6 Committee be released to the public.
In a letter to his fellow Democrats, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) laid out Democrats’ case for keeping the footage secret from the American people.
At the top of his list of reasons for the American people to be kept in the dark was, of course, Democrats’ claim that Carlson “peddles conspiracy theories” and “Pro-Putin rhetoric.”
Rep. Jeffries followed up that baseless attack by also claiming that releasing security footage of the public areas of a public building literally anyone can just walk into from off the street would somehow be a major security risk – which oddly seems to always be the excuse ruling class elites use to keep a secret from the American people.
“At present, we are working to confirm the precise nature of the video transfer, particularly as it relates to the events connected to the violent insurrection on January 6, 2021,” Jeffries noted. “The apparent transfer of video footage represents an egregious security breach that endangers the hardworking women and men of the United States Capitol Police, who valiantly defended our democracy with their lives at risk on that fateful day.”
In an attempt to further drive home that point, the House Minority Leader went on to essentially outright admit that Democrats’ January 6 Committee spent nearly two full years only releasing the security footage that fit the “insurrection” narrative they crafted.
“Over the past two years, the bipartisan Members of the January 6th Committee were able to diligently review the security footage in question, with numerous protocols in place to protect the safety of the Members, police officers and staff who were targeted during the violent insurrection,” Jeffries added. “There is no indication that these same precautionary measures have been taken in connection with the transmission of the video footage at issue.”
And for good measure, Rep. Jeffries also threw in Democrats’ undeniably fascist and authoritarian claim that simply wanting security footage to be released so Americans can make up their own minds somehow proves the “extreme MAGA Republican majority” poses some mythical and imaginary “grave threat” to the nation.
“Unfortunately, the apparent disclosure of sensitive video material is yet another example of the grave threat to the security of the American people represented by the extreme MAGA Republican majority,” Jeffries concluded. “Together, we will continue to defend our democracy and the well-being of the law enforcement community that protects the Capitol.”
Clearly, Democrats really don’t want the American people to see what actually happened on January 6.
It’s almost as if they know their whole narrative that a former President known to shoot from the hip at times orchestrated a sophisticated coup d’etat to overthrow the entire U.S. government using a few dozens unarmed protesters, whose entire focus once they got into the Capitol was on putting their feet on then-Speaker Pelosi’s desk, could very well fall apart if the footage is released.
Needless to say, it may be wise to keep the popcorn handy because Tucker Carlson’s release of the January 6 security footage could very well send Democrats into a frenzy.
