The Left has been waging a culture war against Christmas for decades.
So much so that Bill O’Reilly used to feature a recurring segment on the topic back when his O’Reilly Factor show was a big hit on the Fox News Channel.
America, perhaps, has never been more politically divided.
It seems civil debates on policies are a thing of the past and now political opponents are demonized and targeted.
One would think the Holidays would be a time Americans could put their political differences aside and come together as family and friends and enjoy the common ground in their lives.
Those on the right embrace the Holiday season and are largely willing to lower their guard and accept a two-month ceasefire to break bread, give thanks and celebrate the birth of the Lord.
However, those sentiments often aren’t shared by the Left – whose anger only seems to grow toward the end of the calendar year.
And now, just in time for Christmas, this mayor of a blue suburb is doing his best Grinch impression.
Wauwatosa, Wisconsin is a quaint suburb nestled on the banks of the Menomonee River.
The town of less than 50,000 people serves as a bedroom community, of sorts, to the nearby city of Milwaukee.
The quiet municipality voted for Republican gubernatorial candidates in three recent statewide elections –but starting in 2016 started gradually moving to the left.
The town full of college-educated white voters is now staunchly in the Democrat camp.
And residents are now feeling the effect of voting for woke radicals.
In particular, one town official whose war of Christmas is making Ebenezer Scrooge – before his visit from the three spirits – look like Buddy the Elf.
In the name of supposed “equity” and “inclusion,” residents in Wauwatosa will have to follow a strict set of rules or find themselves on the naughty list.
Melissa Cantarero Weiss, the Deputy City Administrator of the City of Wauwatosa, WI, sent an email to city workers instructing them not to use red and green and religious Christmas decorations because it’s not “inclusive” and “equitable.”
She also refers to snowmen as “snow… pic.twitter.com/lJrNrmirZ8

As Libs of TikTok is reporting, Wauwatosa Deputy City Administrator Melissa Cantarero sent out a memo to city employees instructing them on how to conduct themselves during the Holiday season.
The memo forbade any religious themed decorations for the holiday celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Wauwatosa city workers aren’t even allowed to display the colors red and green in their decorations.
And they have to watch what they say as well.
Cantarero insists supposed “gendered language” like “snowmen,” be replaced with the gender neutral “snow people.”
Social media blew up mocking the Wauwatosa official’s War on Christmas.
The mayor who stole Christmas
However, Cantarero has the backing of the city’s Democrat mayor.
As reported by Wisconsin Right Now, Wauwatosa Mayor Dennis McBride responded to the controversy his staff caused with its Never Santa attitude by criticizing concerned citizens and doubling down on the blue Christmas rules.
The mayor of #Wauwatosa seems to be saying he’s fine with calling snowmen snow people and urging city workers not to use red and green Christmas decorations, but it’s a little hard to sort through the babble. He confirms the legitimacy of the deputy city admin’s email. pic.twitter.com/oNd6cVs6fD

McBride mentions in past years, a couple people complained that they had to endure looking at Christmas decorations.
God forbid – how awful.
McBride also cites the war in the Middle East as a reason for taking Christ out of Christmas.
Citizens and worshippers in the Palestinian governed West Bank town of Bethlehem where the reason for the season came into the world would scoff at that excuse. Even with war at their doorstep, they still have the courage to hold Christmas services.
McBride though tossed in one of the few Bible stories you’ll ever hear from a leftist to justify his stance – citing the “Tribute Episode” recounted in Matt. 22:15-22, in which Christ told the Pharisees to “Render under Caesar, the things that are Caesar’s; and to God, the things that are God’s.”
The parable, of course, shows Jesus turning the tables on them, exposing them for being on Imperial Rome’s payroll when they tried to trap him by asking if he supported paying a tribute tax to Rome.
They thought Jesus would be forced into either discrediting himself in the eyes of the many of his followers who despised the Roman occupiers or inflame the Romans governors by publicly encouraging his followers not to pay.
Jesus got the Pharisees to prove they were Roman collaborators by asking that they show him what coin the tax needed to be paid in. If the Pharisees were strictly following the Torah they wouldn’t have had the Roman Denarii because the words and image on it proclaim Caesar as a son of a god.
But of course, they were on Rome’s payroll.
Citizens in Wauwatosa and everywhere else should be asking whose payroll officials like McBride are on.
