Tom Homan drops one bombshell that has sanctuary cities scrambling

Border Czar Tom Homan vows to flood sanctuary cities with ICE agents, promising intensified work-site enforcement and no safe havens for illegal aliens under the Trump administration.

Tom Homan has become the face of Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

His latest comments sent shockwaves through liberal enclaves across America.

And Tom Homan dropped one bombshell that has sanctuary cities scrambling.

Tom Homan vows to flood sanctuary cities with ICE agents

Border Czar Tom Homan held a press briefing outside the White House that left no doubt about the Trump administration’s commitment to enforcing immigration law.

The former ICE director delivered a stern warning to sanctuary cities that thought they could hide illegal aliens from federal authorities.

Homan made it crystal clear that nowhere in America is off limits for immigration enforcement.

“There is no sanctuary for illegal aliens in this country,” Homan declared. “You can call it a sanctuary jurisdiction all you want. It’s a bunch of crap, and we all know it.”

The Border Czar explained that sanctuary city policies actually make enforcement more dangerous and less efficient.

When local authorities refuse to cooperate with ICE by holding criminals in jail, it forces agents to track them down in neighborhoods and workplaces.

“If we can’t arrest a bad guy in the jail, one agent arrest a bad guy in the jail, in the safety and security of a jail, which is safer for the officer, safer for the alien, and safer for the community — okay? You’re gonna force him in the community to find him,” Homan stated.

That’s when Homan dropped his bombshell threat that has sanctuary city mayors panicking.

“You got sanctuary cities. How I said, we’re gonna flood the zone,” Homan announced. “If we can’t find him in the community, we’re gonna find them at the work site. So we’re gonna flood the zone and sanctuary cities will get exactly what they don’t want. More agents in their neighborhoods, more work site enforcement.”

Homan warns sanctuary cities they’re creating more problems

The Border Czar explained that sanctuary city policies backfire spectacularly on the very communities they claim to protect.

When ICE agents are forced to hunt down criminal aliens in neighborhoods instead of picking them up safely in jails, it leads to more arrests of other illegal aliens.

“Because ICE agents are not gonna walk away from illegal aliens. You force us to go find the bad guy. Many times they’re with others at a work site. Go look for the bad guy. There’s 10 more illegal aliens there. They’re coming too,” Homan explained.

He fired back at sanctuary city officials who complain about “collateral arrests” of non-criminal illegal aliens.

“So, I don’t wanna hear sanctuary cities complaining. ‘Well, look at all these collateral arrests and non-criminal targets you’re arresting.’ You’ve forced me in that position,” Homan stated.

The message was unmistakable: sanctuary cities are creating the very problems they claim to oppose.

When asked about ICE activity in liberal strongholds like Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, Homan didn’t hesitate.

“Martha’s Vineyard isn’t off the table. It’s part of the country,” he said. “We’re doing immigration actions, we’re all throughout the country. We’re not saying we’re gonna favor one area over another.”

ICE arrests need to triple to meet Trump’s promise

Homan revealed the staggering scope of the illegal alien crisis that the Trump administration inherited from Joe Biden.

“You look at the recent numbers, we got like 600,000 illegal aliens walking the streets of this country with criminal convictions or pending criminal charges,” Homan told reporters.

That number should terrify every American parent.

When pressed about Stephen Miller’s directive for ICE to arrest 3,000 people per day, Homan didn’t back down from the ambitious target.

“I’ve said from day one, you guys ask me this question a lot of times, ‘Am I happy with the removal numbers? Am I happy with the arrest numbers?’ I’ve been fair with you. I said, ‘The numbers are better than Biden, but they’re not good enough,'” Homan explained.

The Border Czar emphasized that President Trump made a promise to the American people and he intends to keep it.

“President Trump made a promise to the American people. The American people put him in office, and his top issue was immigration enforcement,” Homan stated.

He announced that ICE is dramatically increasing the number of teams on the streets.

“You’re gonna see more teams on the streets than you’ve ever seen before. You’re gonna see more work site enforcement than you’ve ever seen in the history of this nation,” Homan promised.

The Trump administration is serious about self-deportation

Homan revealed that approximately 8,500 illegal aliens have used the CBP One app to voluntarily leave the country.

But he noted that thousands more are leaving without going through the app.

“There’s thousands of deportation, but they’re not going through the app, they’re just leaving. They tell us, your support is showing traffic going south down to Mexico, but even the Darién Gap,” Homan said.

The Border Czar explained that self-deportation is the smart choice for illegal aliens.

Those who leave voluntarily can get their affairs in order and potentially return legally in the future.

But those who wait to be arrested and formally deported face a statutory bar that prevents them from ever returning to the United States.

“They can leave on their own terms, get their affairs together, or we can go find them and formally deport them, which is gonna set a bar against them coming back to the country under a legal program,” Homan warned.

The message from the Trump administration is clear: the days of catch and release are over.

Unlike the Biden administration that told ICE agents they couldn’t arrest illegal aliens unless they were convicted of serious crimes, the Trump administration is enforcing all immigration laws.

“Game’s change. We got the greatest president in the history of this nation sitting in the Oval Office who’s gonna enforce immigration law and keep his promise to the American people to make this country safe again,” Homan concluded.

Sanctuary cities better brace themselves because Tom Homan and President Trump aren’t backing down.
