Fox News anchor and “moderate conservative” Chris Wallace has continued to lose favor with the network’s viewers.
And he’s continuing to lose credibility among real conservatives.
But Trey Gowdy couldn’t believe what he was hearing when Chris Wallace made this claim on Fox News.
Trey Gowdy has recently been contributing to Fox News’ segments on the Senate confirmation hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barrett.
While Gowdy was on the network, he questioned why the confirmations of judges to the Supreme Court bench have become so partisan in the Senate.
Chris Wallace then put on his left-wing propaganda lenses and claimed that this is actually the fault of Republicans.
Wallace said to Gowdy and Fox News viewers that a major reason why Supreme Court confirmations have become hyper-partisan is because Senate Republicans wouldn’t confirm Obama’s nominee from 2016, Merrick Garland.

Chris Wallace’s claim is verifiably untrue.
As he even points out himself, as well as many others like Ted Cruz (R-TX), the Republicans controlled the Senate in 2016 when a Democrat President made a nomination.
2016 wasn’t the first time that had happened.
To blame Senate Republicans for the partisan nature of confirmations today is asinine.
The nation watched as Senate Democrats attempted, and partially succeeded, to degrade an innocent man in Brett Kavanaugh with a gross smear campaign, simply because they would lose their hold on the High Court.
And then again, Senate Democrats have been throwing a fit over Amy Barrett’s confirmation hearing because she is an originalist and a textualist who will uphold the Constitution.
When Congressional Democrats don’t get their way, they throw out all precedence and all sense of decency to try and change the outcome.
They tried to overturn the results of the 2016 elections by attempting to impeach the President.
And they tried to destroy Brett Kavanaugh with a disgusting made-up claim about him trying to rape Christine Blasey Ford.
Now they are playing hyper-partisan political games with the Barrett confirmation – simply because they didn’t get their way.
