Democrats are putting everything they have on playing up the events of January 6 to help them during the November midterms.
But it’s not working.
And Trey Gowdy just dropped the bomb on Joe Biden and the Democrats with this one brutal reality check.
On the one-year anniversary of the January 6 riot at the Capitol, Democrats staged a partisan political show designed to paint Donald Trump and his supporters as domestic terrorists ahead of the 2022 Midterm elections.
Joe Biden kicked off the events for Democrats with an angry speech attacking Donald Trump and Republican voters by calling them the enemies of democracy.
During an interview with Fox News, Trey Gowdy told host Brett Baier that Biden missed a huge opportunity to follow through on his campaign promise to unify the country by delivering an angry, divisive speech.
As Gowdy pointed out, Biden’s polarizing speech will only further divide the American public.
“Yes, I thought a year ago today I heard a speech that some might find inciting, and the one I heard today was pretty inciting. I think his goal was to get under President Trump’s skin. This is a guy that talked about unity more than any president has ever talked about it in his inaugural address, and this was just another political speech, which is why I’m convinced, Bret, if we are ever going to have unity in this country, it’s not going to come from the top down. It’s not going to come from a speech from Statuary Hall or Mar-a- Lago. It will be when the people decide they are sick and tired of the conflict. But this speech is not getting us there,” Gowdy told host Brett Baier.
Gowdy then ripped Kamala Harris for equating the riot at the Capitol on January 6 to the 9/11 terror attacks and the bombing of Pearl Harbor, two events where thousands of Americans died and the country mobilized for war.
“I thought what happened a year ago today was really, really bad. And it is unnecessary and actually non-persuasive to compare it to two of the seminal things that have happened in this country’s history. She did leave out the civil war. I will give her credit for that, she left out World War II and the civil war. Actually, she didn’t leave out World War II. You’re right. She mentioned Pearl Harbor. How she was successful in a courtroom, I thought her delivery was poor and the words she chose were just not persuasive,” Gowdy continued.
With an approval rating of 28 percent, Kamala Harris is the most unpopular Vice President in the last 50 years, which is why Democrats are worried that she cannot defeat Donald Trump if Joe Biden chooses not to seek re-election in 2024.
Since polls show Joe Biden is deeply unpopular, the Democrats and corporate-controlled media are obsessed with attempting to play up the events of January 6.
But as Trey Gowdy pointed out, their angry speeches are having the reverse effect on the American people.
