Dr. Anthony Fauci is bent on continuing to rule our lives.
He’s latched on to the fear and urgency of the COVID-19 pandemic to build his own empire.
But Trey Gowdy just slammed the brakes on Fauci’s insane power trip.
Dr. Fauci was livid when a federal judge struck down Joe Biden’s blatantly unconstitutional public transportation mask mandate.
Following the ruling Fauci took to CNN+ and CBS fuming about how public health orders should not be subject to Constitutional checks and balances, including judicial review.
The judge in the case has been under all kinds of fire from leftists, but Trey Gowdy has a clear message for Fauci and Friends.
During his Sunday night Fox News Program, Gowdy asked where it says American citizens voted to give the Centers for Disease Control permission to create public policy.
As Gowdy went on to explain, citizens elect members of Congress and the President — and that’s exactly where these type of decisions need to be made.
“The CDC thinks you should wear a mask on planes or trains or mass transit. If you’re wondering when you voted on the Centers for Disease Control, you did not,” Gowdy said. “You do vote on Congress, and that is who should make these decisions. But Congress abdicated its authority to the CDC, as it has abdicated its authority in other realms.”
He pointed out that one reason judges are even forced to deal with situations like this in the first place is because members of Congress have neglected their responsibilities and have left most governing at the federal level to the president via executive orders along with empowering bureaucrats to create all kinds of oppressive regulations.
“In a perfect world, federal judges would not have to decide whether masks should be worn on public transportation. Judges are smart, for the most part, but they’re not infectious disease experts. There’s a reason they went to law school and not medical school,” Gowdy said. “But more and more issues are put before our courts because those who are supposed to govern, do not. They abdicate. The Biden Administration has decided to appeal this ruling risking the continued wrath of those who are sick of wearing masks.”
Then Gowdy came down on Democrats, corporate-controlled media journalists, and law professors for throwing fits over Donald Trump criticizing rulings he didn’t like.
They claimed his complaints amounted to a serious threat to the independent judiciary, but the minute they don’t like a court decision the Trump-appointed judge faced no end of scrutiny even veiled claims that she’s not fit for the job in spite of numerous similarities between her resume and that of leftist darling, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
“Well, the media and Democrats and law professors, assuming that’s not redundant, have been unsparing in their criticism of this judge,” Gowdy said. “Apparently, that whole respect for the judiciary thing only counts when they like the ruling. I don’t want federal judges setting public health or immigration or national security policy for the country, but they shouldn’t have to. That’s Congress’ job. If only they would do it.”
