Fox News has dominated the cable news industry for the past two decades – holding the number one spot year after year.
And with conservatives growing more fed up with Fox News by the day, alternative networks like Newsmax and One America News Network (OANN) have been gaining in popularity by the day.
But Trump supporters may abandon Newsmax after this unexpected announcement from the network.
Conservatives are abandoning Fox News after their recent actions left many feeling like they’ve become an anti-Trump network.
And the ratings show it, with alternative networks like Newsmax gaining ground on Fox News, especially since the November 3 election.
In fact, Newsmax host Greg Kelly recently beat out Fox News Channel’s Marth MacCallum in the 25-54 age demographic that advertisers use to set their rates.
Not only that, but Greg Kelly even attracted over one million viewers on occasion, a huge accomplishment for Newsmax.
But Newsmax made an announcement after the Electoral College meeting that could leave a bad taste in the mouths of Trump supporters.
Before the recent vote, Newsmax refused to refer to Joe Biden as the President-elect out of respect for President Trump’s legal challenges.
But according to a statement released by Newsmax, the network will now start referring to Joe Biden as the President-elect.
“As a result of the Electoral College vote, Joe Biden is the president-elect and will be referred to as such on Newsmax,” wrote Newsmax in a statement about the network’s decision.
“We also recognize President Trump continues to contest the results and we will cover aspects of that news story,” added the network, presumably attempting to keep Trump supporters from abandoning the network.
Conservatives abandoned Fox News after the network drifted to the Left and turned on President Trump.
Could Newsmax face the same fate?
