CNN’s White House correspondent Jim Acosta is the biggest clown in the media.
He’s always looking to find a way to insert himself in the story in search of a viral moment to boost his ego.
But Trump supporters were livid over what CNN’s Jim Acosta said during his coverage of a Trump rally.
President Trump’s campaign is back to hosting mega-rallies for supporters with one recent event held in Florida.
During the rally, Jim Acosta did a live segment for CNN.
It didn’t take long for the crowd of Trump supporters to notice Acosta, despite his face mask, and drown him out with chants of “CNN sucks.”
Ever the utmost professional, Acosta turned to the camera and sneered that what really sucks was catching the coronavirus.
“After this rally in Florida tonight, the president heads off to Pennsylvania for another rally tomorrow later on in the week, Iowa and North Carolina, Pennsylvania is a critical battleground state. Iowa and North Carolina are really states that should be in the bag for President Trump,” Acosta began.
“That’s an indication as to how much trouble he’s in politically right now,” Acosta added. “And as this crowd is chanting that there are members of the press here who suck, I should also point out what also sucks — getting the coronavirus.”
It was a low blow, even for Acosta.
Real reporters ignore hecklers and report the news without trying to make the story about themselves.
But when it comes down to it, that’s kind of the point. CNN gave up being a real news organization long ago and is really just in it for the ratings at this point.
