Many conservative Catholics are concerned with the direction Pope Francis is dragging the church.
Time and again Francis has chosen to side with radical Leftists on political issues instead of Catholic doctrine.
Now Trump-supporting Catholics are up in arms over what Pope Francis’ Vatican just said.
Unlike many of his predecessors, Pope Francis isn’t shy about making his political views known on American political issues.
Practically from the moment Trump announced his candidacy, the Pope was voicing his disagreement with him.
After Trump’s election, the biggest spat between the two was when Pope Francis blasted President Trump’s plan to build a wall on America’s southern border.
Of course, the irony here is that the Vatican is surrounded by massive fortress walls – those in glass houses, right?
Catholic faithful in America were furious over the attack, leading him to apologize over the backlash.
But that didn’t prevent the pontiff from sparring with the President again, including calling Trump’s efforts to secure the border “cruel.”
And it certainly hasn’t prevented him from pushing other left-wing policies.
Recently, the Vatican issued a statement claiming the coronavirus proves immigrants are “essential.”
Cardinal Michael Czerny, who has led the Vatican’s Migrants and Refugees Office since 2017, made the statement in an interview with Catholic News Agency.
“Who are the orderlies and the cleaning people and who are the support staff in the hospitals? Who are the people who are picking the fruit and vegetables that we really do need to receive?” he asked.
“Who are the people who are taking care of our elderly or challenged people or other people who need support and care?” he continued. “Many, many, many of them are people in these categories [of migrant or refugee], who are here doing the work because it’s the work we need.”
While the Cardinal claims to have respect for illegal aliens, he seems to think they’re only capable of doing menial tasks no one else would.
And he’s overlooking the massive strain illegal aliens put on the economy, costing billions more than the labor they produce.
If the Vatican and Pope Francis were truly concerned about these people, they’d help them fix their own countries instead of encouraging them to flood developed nations.
