Trump’s surgeon general pick just foiled Democrats ambush plans with this surprise announcement

President Trump's pick for surgeon general was set to face a Senate grilling on Thursday.

But then something unexpected happened that sent the hearing into chaos.

And Trump's surgeon general pick just foiled Democrats ambush plans with this surprise announcement.

Dr. Casey Means was scheduled to appear virtually before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee Thursday morning for her confirmation hearing.

The 38-year-old physician and wellness advocate had Democrats lining up to attack her credentials and question her qualifications.

But just hours before the hearing, Means delivered news that forced senators to postpone their planned ambush.

She went into labor with her first child.¹

"Everyone's happy for Dr. Means and her family," said Emily Hilliard, deputy press secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services. "This is one of the few times in life it's easy to ask to move a Senate hearing."²

The heartwarming news buys Means more time to prepare for the attacks coming her way from the medical establishment and their allies in Washington, D.C.

Democrats terrified of doctor who walked away from Big Medicine

Means isn't your typical Washington, D.C. bureaucrat climbing the career ladder.

She's a Stanford-educated physician who had the courage to walk away from the corrupt medical system after she saw how it operates.³

Means walked away from Oregon Health and Science University's surgical residency program with only months remaining because she refused to be part of a system that profits from keeping Americans sick instead of making them healthy.⁴

"I became disillusioned with the medical system's focus on managing disease rather than curing patients," Means explained.⁵

She founded Levels, a health technology company that helps Americans take control of their own health by tracking their blood sugar and metabolic health.⁶

Her 2024 bestselling book "Good Energy" exposed how the medical establishment has failed Americans while chronic disease rates explode.⁷

Trump nominated Means in May after pulling his first choice, Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, who faced criticism from Trump supporters for being too cozy with the vaccine mandate crowd.⁸

When asked why he picked Means, Trump gave a simple answer: "Because Bobby thought she was fantastic."⁹

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. knows exactly what he's doing by backing Means.

She helped architect the "Make America Healthy Again" movement that threatens to expose how Big Pharma and the food industry have poisoned Americans for profit.¹⁰

The medical establishment launches desperate attacks

The old guard in medicine is terrified of Means because she can't be controlled.

Former Surgeon General Jerome Adams, who served during Trump's first administration, complained that Means never completed her residency training.¹¹

But that's exactly the point.

Means saw the system from the inside and walked away because she refused to be part of the problem.

Americans are the sickest people in the developed world despite spending more on healthcare than anyone else.

The medical establishment presided over that disaster.

They don't get to lecture about qualifications when they've failed the American people for decades.

Dr. Richard Carmona, surgeon general under President George W. Bush, claimed Means doesn't have the right "experience" for the role.¹²

These are the same experts who told Americans to trust the COVID lockdowns that destroyed small businesses and kept kids out of school for years.

The same experts who pushed experimental vaccines with mandates that cost people their jobs.

Democrats and their media allies are also attacking Means for making money promoting supplements and wellness products.

She received over $130,000 in payments from Amazentis and another $27,000 from Pendulum Therapeutics, both supplement manufacturers, according to financial disclosures.¹³

An Associated Press "investigation" breathlessly reported that Means sometimes promoted products without disclosing she could profit from sales.¹⁴

But Means practices what she preaches.

She's not some government bureaucrat who's never built anything telling Americans how to live.

She created businesses that help people take control of their health instead of being dependent on Big Pharma's pills.

In her ethics filing, Means pledged to resign from Levels and forfeit stock options if confirmed.¹⁵

She's willing to walk away from her business to serve Americans.

That's more than most Washington, D.C. swamp creatures can say.

Trump's MAHA agenda threatens the entire corrupt system

Means is a close ally of Kennedy and helped build the Make America Healthy Again movement that's shaking Washington, D.C. to its core.¹⁶

If confirmed, she'll oversee the 6,000-plus uniformed officers in the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and become the nation's leading voice on public health.¹⁷

That terrifies the establishment because Means will expose how the system profits from sick Americans.

Kennedy's agenda calls for removing thousands of toxic additives and chemicals from food, rooting out conflicts of interest at federal agencies, and incentivizing healthier foods in school lunches.¹⁸

The food industry and Big Pharma are pouring money into fighting these reforms because they know MAHA threatens their business model.

Six former surgeons general just released a letter claiming Kennedy is "endangering the health of the nation."¹⁹

These are the same people who presided over America becoming the fattest, sickest country in the developed world.

They had their chance and they failed.

Now Trump and Kennedy are bringing in people like Means who actually want to fix the system instead of managing America's decline.

The Senate hasn't announced when Means' confirmation hearing will be rescheduled.

But Democrats know their attacks aren't working.

Trump's nominees keep getting confirmed because Americans voted for real change in November.

The medical establishment had decades to make Americans healthy and they chose profit over people.

Now outsiders like Means are coming to Washington, D.C. to drain the swamp.

And the swamp creatures are panicking.
