Just a short two weeks after Fox News fired Carlson and attempted to keep him silenced through the 2024 election cycle, Carlson revealed his show was returning.
It took only two weeks for Tucker Carlson to make his move.
But Carlson is back faster than anyone thought was possible with a new show sure to make Fox News furious.
In a video on social media that racked up more than 120 million views in 24 hours, Carlson announced to his loyal fans he would now broadcast his show on Twitter.
But, not surprisingly, Carlson didn’t stop there.
The popular conservative host also blasted his former employer Fox News for being party to a corporate media effort to lie to the American people through manipulation of information.
Specifically for withholding facts and data that change the news and turn it into lies.
“At the most basic level, the news you consume is a lie — a lie of the stealthiest and most insidious kind,” Carlson stated. “Facts have been withheld on purpose along with proportion and perspective. You are being manipulated.”
Carlson also added after spending 30 years working in the media – including hosting a show on every single cable news network – he gained an real insider’s look at how the media misleads the American people.
“After more than 30 years in the middle of it, we could tell you stories,” Carlson added.
Carlson then went on to confirm that Fox News did indeed fire him for questioning the establishment’s narrative about COVID, the war in Ukraine, illegal immigration, and transgenderism.
Of course, leftists went nuts after Tucker’s Twitter video and were scared to death Carlson and Elon Musk had come to some secret deal.
But Elon Musk later explained in a tweet that Twitter struck no deal with Carlson but that Carlson was of course free to broadcast his show on Twitter and use the platform’s various tools to monetize his content.
“I also want to be clear that we have not signed a deal of any kind whatsoever. Tucker is subject to the same rules & rewards of all content creators. Rewards means subscriptions and advertising revenue share (coming soon), which is a function of how many people subscribe and the advertising views associated with the content,” Musk wrote on Twitter.
“A ratings bloodbath”
Meanwhile, Fox News channel is facing an audience revolt over firing Tucker Carlson.
Ratings are down across the board, in what the National Review called a “ratings bloodbath.”
In just the first week without Carlson in the 8 p.m. slot, Fox saw a decrease of 29.6% during primetime.
But that wasn’t even the worst news for the once proud network.
During Tucker Carlson’s 8 pm time slot, Fox saw a 47% decline in viewership.
And among the key 25-54 year old demographic the numbers were even worse, with Fox losing 59% of their viewers.
Now Tucker Carlson is getting set to launch his show on Twitter which will no doubt draw even more viewers away from Fox.
