Since Fox News made the insanely baffling decision to part ways with the most watched primetime news host in America, things haven’t exactly been going great for the network.
In fact, based on numerous reports, the current state of the network can only be described as a total dumpster fire.
At the beginning of April, at the height of the Left’s efforts to use the lawsuit that Dominion Voting Systems filed against Fox News to take the network down, international Internet-based market research firm YouGov conducted their monthly nationwide survey to determine Americans’ trust in the top news networks.
Much to the dismay of Democrats and their media allies, that poll once again showed that Fox News had not only been by far the most watched news network in America, but also, by far the most trusted news network in America, as it has remained for years.
In fact, according to the YouGov survey, the 41% of Americans who trusted Fox News was more than double MSNBC, which was trusted by just 18% of Americans, and more than 17% more than the next most trusted news network, ABC.
Even with the Dominion lawsuit and all of the propaganda being pumped out by the rest of the media, it seemed as though nothing could stop the Fox News machine.
That is, until Fox News made the baffling decision to part ways with Tucker Carlson.
Now, a new poll of Fox News’ target audience has revealed that the network’s self-inflicted damage is far worse than anyone previously thought possible.
According to a poll of likely Republican voters conducted by online polling firm Change Research, Carlson’s net favorability sits at +53%, a full 62 points higher than Fox News’ -4%.

Furthermore, 70% of likely GOP voters had at least a somewhat favorable opinion of Carlson, while just 11% of Republicans viewed him unfavorably.
Of course, as Breitbart’s John Nolte pointed out, grassroots conservatives had been falling out of love with Fox News long before they fired Carlson, but that was the final straw.
“We could be at a real crisis point for Fox News,” Nolte wrote. “Between meddling in the 2020 election with that early call of Arizona and firing Carlson, the outlet’s loyal viewers sound fed up. Fox’s ratings have fallen since Carlson’s firing, and people now have alternatives like Newsmax and OAN — TV news outlets that do not take their viewers for granted.”
There’s certainly no denying the fact that lots of viewers believe that Fox News’ executives took them for granted.
After years of seeing the network continue to dominate despite the departures of stars like Glenn Beck, Megyn Kelly, and Bill O’Reilly, and rise of numerous alternatives – like Beck’s own BlazeTV network – Fox News just assumed that it didn’t matter who they put on-air or what they really covered so long as they remained slightly to the right of their competition.
But now, reality is starting to set in, and Fox News’ troubles may have only just begun.
