It’s long been the tradition for past presidents to stay out of the affairs of those who follow them in office.
But Barack Obama was never one to follow convention.
And Tucker Carlson just called Barack Obama on the carpet for this despicable act.
Past Presidents Clinton, Bush, and Obama all spoke at John Lewis’ funeral service.
But out of those, only Barack Obama chose to deliver a bigoted, mean-spirited, and partisan campaign speech.
During what can only be considered a racist rant, Obama compared President Trump to segregationist George Wallace, accused Trump and Republican Governors of targeting minorities for voter suppression, and called on Senate Democrats to nuke the filibuster to ram through their socialist agenda if they seize total control of Washington, D.C. this November.
That’s why Tucker Carlson called Obama to the carpet for his hyper-partisan remarks at a funeral service for the late Congressman.
“Barack Obama showed up at congressman John Lewis’ funeral today and Obama claims he was there to eulogize his friend and that’s not true and that’s not what he did,” Carlson stated. “Instead Obama gave a divisive and deeply dishonest campaign speech in church.”
Carlson argued no normal person would ever sit through what amounted to a campaign rally speech at a funeral.
“It’s hard to believe that clip is real but it is, down to the cloying, fake accent, Mr. Hawaii Guy,” Carlson added. “But take three steps back. Imagine if some greasy politician showed up at your loved one’s funeral and started throwing around stupid partisan talking points about Senate procedure. Can you imagine that? You would be shocked if that happened. You’d probably walk out. Desecrating a funeral with campaign slogans? What kind of person would do that?”
But Carlson told his audience that Obama and his fellow Democrats were not normal.
They worship at the alter of political power so they didn’t think twice of turning a solemn funeral service into a campaign trail event.
“Democrats in the audience didn’t seem offended, they didn’t blink, they cheered,” Carlson added. “It all seemed normal to them and why wouldn’t it? Political power is their religion. It’s not out of place in a church, it’s what they worship. People who politicize a funeral will do anything and they are trying to.”
