Tucker Carlson is a powerhouse in the world of conservative media and now mere months after his showdown with Fox News, the popular host just landed in the middle of a messy showdown between two hugely popular conservative hosts.
Carlson just jumped in the middle of a feud between Daily Wire founder, Ben Shapiro and popular conservative commentator Candace Owens.
The falling out between the two is fueled by their different takes on the Hamas terrorist group in Israel.
According to Owens, an America First foreign policy should be maintained even when dealing with Israel.
She claims that the Israeli military operations to wipe out Hamas in Gaza amounts to “genocide.”
Shapiro fired back in a video where he referred to her commentary on the topic as “disgraceful.”
“I think her behavior during this has been disgraceful,” Shapiro responded to a question during an interview.
Owens fired back on social media saying that you can’t “serve both God and Money.”
Shapiro returned fire by informing Owens that she’s free to stop working at the Daily Wire at any point.
The next volley came from Owens when she sat down for an interview with Tucker Carlson.
Carlson tore into Shapiro’s use of the word “disgraceful” when referring to Owens.
“To call somebody disgraceful, particularly a coworker, seems like a pretty big step and I really don’t know the background here,” Carlson noted. “What is that about?”
Owens responded and said she was shocked since she didn’t expect Shapiro planned to go after her publicly.
She added that she hasn’t heard from him directly to clarify his intentions.
Carlson then asked Owens if she received an apology from Shapiro.
She said that she hasn’t received an apology and added that it isn’t the first time the two have clashed over a major issue.
Owens explained that the two have disagreed in the past with Shapiro initially cheering on for the COVID vaccine’s creation along with supporting Joe Biden’s war with Russia over Ukraine.
“No, nothing. I haven’t heard a single word. It just was sort of something that he said and you know what? Ben and I may have disagreements so I don’t think that that’s particularly something that’s interesting,” she explained. “We disagreed on the COVID vaccine, and we disagreed on Ukraine and Russia. He has taken virtually every stance has been the opposite of mine on every issue over the last five years, so I don’t think that that’s particularly remarkable.”
But Owenss said she would never criticize Shapiro publicly even though they’ve disagreed on some huge issues.
Carlson, however, didn’t hesitate to poke at Shapiro a bit.
“It’s a little weird, so he was on the Left on those three biggest issues of our time, is what you’re saying?” Carlson noted.
