Tucker Carlson is one of the most beloved names on the Right.

And he already has an idea of what the Republican Party will look like in 2028.

Because Tucker Carlson just made one huge prediction on who comes next after Donald Trump.

Republicans begin peaking into the future

When it comes to elections in Washington, D.C., it is never too early for figures in the media and big-name officials to consider what the next election will look like.

With Donald Trump’s term limited and no longer able to run for President once his term concludes, his potential successor has been the topic of great debate.

Whenever a political party cannot run an incumbent, especially for President, there are often crowded parties with large swaths of people running for the open nomination.

This is expected to take place within the Democrat Party for their 2028 primary.

But Tucker Carlson just made a prediction about the 2028 Republican Party primary that has left conservatives curious about what to expect.

Tucker argued that he believes the 2028 GOP Primary will be merely an invitation to Trump’s Vice President, J.D. Vance.

Tucker Carlson predicts J.D. Vance will be the next GOP leader

On a recent podcast hosted by Vince Coglianese – Dan Bongino’s replacement following his appointment to Deputy Director of the FBI – Tucker argued that he could not see anyone but Vance carrying out Donald Trump’s historic legacy.

“I think people want to leave a legacy, all of us do, and great men especially do,” explained Tucker. “And the only person in the entire Republican Party from my position who’s capable of carrying on the Trump legacy and expanding it, making it what it should fully be, is JD Vance.”

“I think his loyalty is without question and his service to Trump has been profound,” he continued. “So I’m assuming that was just like a phrase that you feel you have to use.”

Coglianese argued that Trump held back an early endorsement of Vance when he was prodded about his potential successor within the party because he didn’t want everyone debating the future when he still had plenty of work left to do.

Carlson agreed, but noted that Vance was the most powerful Vice President in recent history, giving more credibility that he will easily take the GOP nomination in 2028.

“That’s exactly right and there’s a lot that will happen between now and then… there’s no one else [to carry on Trump’s legacy],” Tucker noted. “And I think, already, I mean, it’s a tough gig for any vice president, this one included…”

“But he has been a powerful partner for Trump. I don’t see any other, at this point, as of today, any other conceivable option,” he argued. “I think JD Vance will be the nominee.”

Vance put his political expertise on full display during a recent speech he delivered at the American Dynamism Summit.

He explained in his speech that Trump’s America First tariff plan was much smarter than many were giving credit for, claiming that they were expertly breaking the historic obsession of American companies relying on cheap foreign labor.

Vance argued that this dependency on foreign labor markets was acting as dead weight for American businesses and the economy, declaring that “it’s a crutch that inhibits innovation.”

“I might even say that it’s a drug that too many American firms got addicted to,” Vance claimed. “Now, if you can make a product more cheaply, it’s far too easy to do that rather than to innovate.”

“And whether we were offshoring factories to cheap labor economies or importing cheap labor through our immigration system, cheap labor became the drug of Western economies,” exclaimed the Vice President.

Countries that put too much dependency on exporting labor often fall behind when it comes to growth.

“And I’d say that if you look at nearly every country – from Canada to the UK – that imported large amounts of cheap labor, you’ve seen productivity stagnate,” he added in his speech. “And I don’t think that’s a total happenstance. I think that the connection is very direct.”

Vance understands that when it comes to business, the rule of survival is “grow or die.”

And while the media endlessly mocked Trump for selecting Vance to be his Vice President, Vance is turning the script by tearing apart every narrative pushed by the far Left.

Vance also boasts one of the strongest support ratings from Americans who truly support the MAGA agenda.

For that reason, Tucker Carlson believes that J.D. Vance is a monumental figure who will far outpace any other candidate hoping to earn the 2028 Republican Party nomination for President.
