Left-wing billionaire George Soros has invested considerable resources from his $32 billion political empire to elect left-wing prosecutors all over the nation in recent years.
And while Republicans rightly excoriated the effort for turning Democrat-controlled states and cities into lawless hellscapes, many are willfully ignoring what’s happening in their own backyards.
Which is exactly why Tucker Carlson just put Governor Greg Abbott on notice over this corrupt George Soros-funded prosecutor.
Encompassing almost all of Austin, the political leanings of citizens of Travis County, Texas are obviously far different than the rest of the Lone Star State – and that’s exactly why left-wing billionaire George Soros targeted it.
Like most of the radical left-wing prosecutors funded by Soros, District Attorney Jose Garza has quickly earned a reputation for rewarding and protecting Democrats’ allies, punishing those who disagree with the Left, and allowing criminals to run roughshod over the county.
Most recently, Garza made the mind-boggling decision to prosecute U.S. Army veteran Daniel Perry for murder after he shot and killed a Black Lives Matter rioter who pointed an AK-47 at him while he was attempting to earn a living as an Uber driver during the left-wing outrage mob’s riots in Austin.
Anyone with even the slightest bit of awareness of the facts of the case, and the law, could easily see that it was a textbook case of self-defense.
But with the help of a left-wing jury, the Soros-funded prosecutor won the murder conviction anyway, ensuring Perry will be imprisoned for the foreseeable future.
The absurdity and downright unjustified nature of the situation caught the attention of Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, who blasted the idea that a man would be sent to prison for not allowing a crazed left-wing gunman to shoot him dead in the streets.
“Because Austin, Texas, the justice system is overseen by a Soros-funded DA, Perry was charged with murder for defending himself,” Carlson explained. “And tonight, we are sad to tell you, this man, a military veteran driving an Uber car, was convicted of murder. It means that in the state of Texas, if you have the wrong politics, you’re not allowed to defend yourself.”
But Carlson also went on to point out the fact that while this entire ordeal played out very publicly in the state of Texas, Republican Governor Greg Abbott did nothing.
Unlike his fellow Republican Governor, Florida’s Ron DeSantis, Abbott willfully ignored the actions of the Soros-funded prosecutor, failing to even speak out against the unjust conviction of Perry.
According to Carlson, the Texas Governor even refused an invitation from the Fox News host to appear on his show and talk about the matter – a perfect opportunity for him to do the right thing – but Abbott refused.
“So, this is a legal atrocity,” Carlson stated. “It’s so obviously unjust that tonight we extend an invitation to the sitting Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, to come on this show on Monday. And we wanted to ask if he was considering a pardon for Daniel Perry. But for some reason, Governor Greg Abbott’s office told us he just can’t make it and that we should talk to the Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton, instead.”
“So that is Greg Abbott’s position: There is no right of self-defense in Texas,” he added. “We’re going to keep trying to reach the Governor of Texas, get his views on that – and the Attorney General for that matter.”
Of course, the Governor’s inaction shouldn’t really come as much of a surprise.
While he likes to grab headlines by talking a big game on the issues that matter most to voters – especially conservative voters – Abbott generally doesn’t follow it up with much action.
After all, despite constantly making headlines for his claims that he’s doing the job the Biden regime should be doing of securing the nation’s border with Mexico, if Governor Abbott really wanted to solve the Biden border crisis, he would have deployed the Texas National Guard to the border long ago.
Fortunately, though, after Carlson’s efforts to expose his inaction, Abbott quickly went into damage control mode, ensuring the people of Texas that he’s in the process of issuing a pardon for Perry.

The dozens of radical left-wing prosecutors who were elected thanks to the significant financial support of George Soros have already put America in a position where the lawlessness of Democrat-controlled cities alone is threatening the survival of the rule of law.
And if establishment Governors fail to take an appropriate stand against Democrats’ weaponization of the justice system, the nation simply doesn’t stand a chance.
