Republicans got a wake-up call they didn't want to hear.
One of the most respected pollsters in America just delivered devastating news.
And Matt Towery issued one urgent warning that should have every Republican panicked.
GOP losses signal deeper Democrat transformation
The political shockwaves keep coming for Republicans who thought 2024 was the start of their comeback.
Matt Towery, the veteran pollster who called Trump's 2016 victory when everyone else missed it, dropped a bombshell warning on Laura Ingraham's show that Republicans are sleepwalking into disaster.
"That's really dangerous for this country. It's also dangerous for Republicans," Towery told Ingraham. "Republicans have to figure out how to get their vote back out because they certainly didn't do it on Tuesday."¹
The evidence is staring them right in the face but Republican leaders refuse to see it.
"We even lost two statewide elected races in Georgia to the Democrats," Towery revealed. "That's something Republicans need to hear."²
Georgia — the same state that helped deliver Trump the White House just a year ago — is already slipping through their fingers.
But losing Georgia isn't even the worst part.
Socialist revolution taking over Democrat Party
What has Towery truly alarmed isn't just Republican losses — it's what's winning on the other side.
The Democrat Party that existed even five years ago is dead and buried.
In its place, a radical socialist movement is seizing control, and they just proved they can win major elections with an openly anti-American agenda.
New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani represents everything the old Democrat establishment tried to keep hidden.
This 34-year-old democratic socialist didn't run from his radical beliefs — he celebrated them.
Mamdani campaigned on raising the minimum wage to $30 an hour, creating government-run grocery stores, and implementing massive tax increases on "richer and whiter" communities.³
He quoted socialist leader Eugene Debs in his victory speech and promises to turn America's largest city into a laboratory for wealth redistribution.
"And it hadn't gotten a lot of attention. So there's something going on here," Towery warned. "The Republicans had better get control of this and figure out how they're going to deal with this new Democratic Party that's emerging."⁴
Old guard Democrats being pushed aside
The transformation isn't happening quietly anymore.
Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Democratic Socialist organizations poured resources into Mamdani's campaign, helping him defeat establishment Democrat Andrew Cuomo not once, but twice.
"What is happening, Laura, and very quickly, is that as we have the rise of this new generation of ultra-left leaders, they are shoving the Schumers and the Clintons and others from the past aside," Towery explained.⁵
The moderate Democrats who used to provide some balance are being systematically eliminated.
Mamdani's victory isn't an outlier — it's the blueprint.
The Democratic Socialists of America already claims this win proves their radical agenda has gone mainstream across the country.
They're recruiting candidates nationwide to run on platforms that would have been considered fringe extremism just a decade ago.
Now those same policies are winning major elections in America's most important cities.
Republicans lack strategy for radical left threat
Towery's warning cuts to the heart of the Republican establishment's biggest failure.
They're still trying to fight yesterday's battles against yesterday's Democrats.
The polite disagreements over tax rates and government spending are over.
Too much of GOP establishment still thinks they can spend as much taxpayer money as they want on foreign handouts and perks for corporate cronies.
Much of their voting base feels they’re simply trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
Republicans who haven’t gotten real about actually cutting waste, fraud, and abuse in government now face opponents who are very serious and openly call for dismantling capitalism, defunding police, and redistributing wealth based on race.
Although they know they can count on willing weak-kneed RINOs to do so, the new left isn’t politicians looking for compromise — they're revolutionaries seeking total transformation.
Desire for radical change from the Swamp status quo is one thing much of the voting public agrees on.
And the question for so many swing-voters and Americans at their wits’ end is which direction is actually going to deliver.
"I don't think that they're going to prevail in the end, but the Republicans had better get control of this and figure out how they're going to deal with this new Democratic Party that's emerging," Towery stated.⁶
The problem is Republican voters aren't turning out while socialist activists are energized and organized.
Towery has tracked voting patterns for decades, and he sees the dangerous trend developing.
Traditional Republican strongholds like Georgia are becoming competitive not because the party moved left, but because Republicans are staying home while the radical left is mobilizing.
The window for Republicans to adapt their strategy is closing fast.
Every election cycle that passes gives the socialist wing of the Democrat Party more time to prove their agenda can win.
If Republicans don't wake up to this threat and develop a plan to counter it, they'll find themselves permanently locked out of power while America gets transformed into something unrecognizable.
Matt Towery has been right about political trends before when conventional wisdom said otherwise.
Republicans ignore his warning at their own peril.
