After making his first public appearance since leaving office at CPAC, Donald Trump’s been more and more in the public spotlight lately.
Not only has he released several statements ripping the Democrats’ socialist agenda, but Trump recently embarked on a media tour.
And viewers were shocked when a Fox News reporter made this embarrassing mistake during an interview with Donald Trump.
As part of his current media tour, Donald Trump appeared on Fox News recently for an interview with Harris Faulkner.
But during the middle of the interview, Faulkner interrupted President Trump to inform him and the audience that Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas had just resigned, a claim that turned out to be patently false.
“I want to get to this because it just happened now. I want to check with our producers. The DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has resigned, Mr. President,” Faulkner claimed.
Of course, President Trump, who spent the last few months warning the American people that Mayorkas was an America last globalist, cheerfully responded upon hearing the claim, saying “that’s a big victory for our country.”
However, Faulkner’s claim turned out to be a mistake, an error she quickly corrected while apologizing to both Trump and the viewers.
“Hold on. Let me stop. Let me stop. Let me listen to my team one more time. Forgive me. Forgive me. That has not happened. And I apologize,” Faulkner stated.
“Oh, OK. Cross off that victory,” Trump shot back.
As for the mistake, Fox News released a statement following the interview blaming technological problems on the error.
“The error stemmed from an audio issue in a virtual working environment. We corrected the mistake and continued on with the interview,” Fox News statement explained.
Unfortunately, Faulkner’s mistake distracted viewers from the real meat of the interview, which was about how Biden and the Democrats are rushing forward with open border amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants.
