Support for Vivek Ramaswamy surged after his first GOP Presidential debate.
But one debate pledge instantly made him the target of the Washington, D.C. establishment.
Ramaswamy’s efforts during the first debate were successful partially because he was the only candidate who took a hard line against continuing to fund Joe Biden’s proxy war with Russia via Ukraine against Russia.
In taking that stance, Ramaswamy joined Donald Trump, the front-runner and only candidate who wasn’t participating in the debate, in opposing the lucrative military-industrial complex that enriches many Washington, D.C. insiders.
That move caused Ramaswamy to get hammered by Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, and establishment politicians including former Vice President Mike Pence and South Carolina’s RINO former Governor Nikki Haley.
During an interview with Breitbart News, Ramaswamy said that the backlash is a result of how much his increasing popularity in the polls is threatening the Washington, D.C. establishment.
“And this is why they’re coming for me, Matt, the neocon establishment is threatened by the fact that I’m speaking the truth about this,” Ramaswamy said, speaking to Breitbart’s Matt Boyle.
Rather than continue to throw billions into the quagmire in Ukraine, Ramaswamy told Boyle he wants to put that American taxpayer money into shoring up the United States’ defense.
Ramaswamy’s strategy includes diverting military resources currently going to Ukraine to America’s border with Mexico.
“We’re missing nuclear defense missile capabilities. We’re missing cyber and super EMP defenses. We’re using our military to protect an invasion against somebody else’s border halfway around the world, our military equipment, when we should be using those same resources to protect against the ongoing invasion, and it is an armed invasion now, literally, across our own southern border. I mean, that is the truth of the matter,” he explained.
“And I speak that truth, but it really threatens the way the establishment, the Republican Party thinks,” Ramaswamy added.
Ramaswamy warned, as Donald Trump has confirmed through experience, that the Deep State is not a purely leftist cabal but also includes plenty of the establishment on the Right.
That’s why Ramaswamy pledged that if he wins the election in 2024, he will take a “jackhammer” to the Deep State.
He plans to pull that off by using legal authorities that presidents have, but most have dared not use, to conduct huge layoffs that would allow him to shut down the FBI, the ATF, the Department of Education, and other bureaucracies controlled by deep state operatives.
“And so that’s the truth of the matter is, we have a managerial class that pervades the left most but also the right. And I think that I am really the biggest threat right now, to that existing, somewhat of a deep state within the right within the conservative movement,” Ramaswamy declared. “And we’re going to take a jackhammer to it. So what I’m doing in this race, and I think that’s where we’re gonna win.”
Considering that Donald Trump recently hinted that he would consider choosing Vivek Ramaswamy as his running mate in 2024, those keeping the Washington, D.C. Swamp together have a host of reasons to be nervous.
