Walmart heiress Christy Walton made a huge anti-Trump move, igniting outrage among conservatives and fueling a nationwide boycott movement.
The billionaire class just showed their true colors once again.
One wealthy Democrat thinks she can buy herself a revolution.
And a Walmart heiress made one expensive decision that has Trump supporters seeing red.
Christy Walton drops serious cash to fund anti-Trump protests
Christy Walton, the billionaire widow of Walmart founder Sam Walton’s son John, just shelled out big money to take a direct shot at President Donald Trump.
The 76-year-old heiress, who boasts a net worth of $19.3 billion according to Fortune, paid for a full-page color advertisement in The New York Times promoting "No Kings Day" protests scheduled for June 14.
That date isn’t a coincidence – it’s Trump’s 79th birthday, Flag Day, and the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army.
The ad features an image of the Statue of Liberty alongside what amounts to a laundry list of thinly veiled attacks on Trump’s America First agenda.
"WE honor our commitments and stand by our allies," "WE defend against aggression by dictators" and "WE respect our neighbors and trading partners," the ad declares.
"We are the people of the United States of America," the ad reads. "The honor, dignity, and integrity of our country are not for sale."
But apparently Walton’s principles are for sale to the highest bidder – and that bidder happens to be the Democrat Party.
Walton co-hosted a fundraising event in September 2024 for former Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, according to Bloomberg.
Republicans smell revenge over China tariffs
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) didn’t mince words when she called out what’s really behind Walton’s expensive tantrum.
"Looks like the Walmart dynasty is big mad about China Tariffs," Luna wrote in a post on social media.
Luna hit the nail on the head.
This isn’t about principle – it’s about profit margins.
President Trump recently told Walmart to "eat the tariffs" after the retail giant warned that it would have to raise prices due to his trade policies protecting American workers and manufacturers.
"Walmart should STOP trying to blame Tariffs as the reason for raising prices throughout the chain. Walmart made BILLIONS OF DOLLARS last year, far more than expected," Trump posted on Truth Social. "Between Walmart and China they should, as is said, ‘EAT THE TARIFFS,’ and not charge valued customers ANYTHING."
The timing of Walton’s anti-Trump ad campaign tells you everything you need to know about her motivations.
Walmart imports about 40% of its merchandise and has been among the companies warning that Trump’s tariffs will lead to higher costs for consumers.
Translation: Walton is furious that Trump is putting America First instead of her family’s bottom line first.
The "No Kings" movement reveals the left’s true agenda
The "No Kings Day" protests are being organized by Indivisible and a coalition of far-left groups as what they call a "nationwide day of defiance."
Ezra Levin, co-founder of Indivisible, told Newsweek that the goal is to send a message that the United States "has no kings" and criticized Trump’s planned military parade commemorating the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary.
"He is planning to roll tanks through the streets of D.C. in celebration of his birthday, and that’s the kind of thing you normally wouldn’t see in a constitutional republic, certainly not America," Levin claimed. "It’s something you’d see in North Korea or other authoritarian regimes."
What these radical leftists won’t tell you is that the June 14 parade isn’t about Trump – it’s about honoring the brave men and women who have served in the U.S. Army for 250 years.
But leave it to the resistance crowd to turn a patriotic celebration into another anti-Trump circus.
Organizers expect this to be "the largest single-day anti-President Trump rally since the start of his second administration," according to Axios.
MAGA world fights back against Walton’s political stunt
Trump supporters aren’t taking Walton’s attack lying down.
Kari Lake, special adviser to the U.S. Agency for Global Media, asked her followers on X, "Do you shop at Walmart?" – sparking calls for a boycott of the retail giant.
The backlash was swift and decisive, with MAGA supporters flooding social media with promises to take their business elsewhere.
Walmart was quick to distance itself from Walton’s political games, with a spokesperson telling Newsweek: "The advertisements from Christy Walton are in no way connected to or endorsed by Walmart. She does not serve on the board or play any role in decision making at Walmart."
But that disclaimer might not be enough to save Walmart from the growing boycott movement.
Walton’s long history of bankrolling the resistance
This isn’t Walton’s first rodeo when it comes to funding anti-Trump efforts.
During the 2020 presidential campaign, she was one of the biggest supporters of the Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump organization that funded Democrat and anti-Trump advertisements in battleground states. In January 2020, she reportedly donated $20,000 and was the first billionaire to fund the project.
She placed a similar ad earlier this year in The Times that also featured an image of the Statue of Liberty alongside the same declarations, urging readers to attend congressional town halls.
A source familiar with Walton’s thinking told The Daily Caller the ad represents "a personal message from Christy that focuses on encouraging people to engage peacefully and civically."
But when you’re spending potentially $1.4 million on a full-page color ad in the Sunday New York Times – that’s the going rate according to WebFX – your "personal message" looks a lot more like a political hit job.
The real message behind the money
What Christy Walton’s expensive tantrum really shows is how terrified the billionaire class is of Donald Trump’s America First agenda.
They got rich by shipping American jobs overseas and importing cheap goods made by foreign workers.
Now Trump is demanding they pay their fair share to support the country that made their fortunes possible in the first place.
And they’re responding by funding protests against the democratically elected President of the United States.
The American people see right through this charade.
They elected Trump to put America First, not to protect the profit margins of billionaire heiresses who would rather fund the resistance than pay fair taxes on their Chinese imports.
