Missouri Senator Josh Hawley has become a major target for leftists.
Democrats on Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) January 6 Committee attempted to smear him as a coward for being caught on video trotting through the Capitol on January 6.
The debunked video made little impact and the former Attorney General of the Show-Me State remains a rising star in the Republican Party.
Hawley was targeted by protesters during a recent speech on China and Ukraine in Washington, D.C in which he warned the U.S. military should be used for defending Americans, not to get involved in conflicts around the globe that have little to nothing to do with this country’s citizens.
However, Hawley’s speech was interrupted by an environmental-extremist who bum-rushed him on stage.
Once on stage, uninvited, the activist shouted down the Senator.
“I think what you’re forgetting is we have the largest military in the world,” the zealot yelled. “We spend over $1-Trillion every year in this state, your state of Missouri, is, over half the people are in poverty.”
The Code Pink protestor was sporting a sign reading, “People and Planet, Not War and Aggression.”
She went on to defend the Chinese Communist Party – however, her arguments were all over the place and disjointed.
“China is not our enemy, the climate crisis is,” she screeched as the crowd began laughing at her. “We need to be this serious about the Climate Crisis. We need diplomacy in Ukraine and in China. We are continuing to have more aggression with China. And we are spending more on our military than 100 countries combined. The Climate Crisis is our common threat!”
For his part, Hawley handled the woke activist’s threat in stride.
“It’s interesting, this administration wants to use the climate crisis for its agenda in Ukraine and elsewhere,” Hawley calmly said. “Maybe they need to visit with that young woman.”
Hawley went on to continue his speech where he questioned the tens of billions of dollars the U.S. is sending to enrich Volodymyr Zelenskyy in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
And he also warned that China has eyes on invading Taiwan and if it does, Hawley says they will succeed in taking over the independent country.
