The battle for the Supreme Court is now front and center for the Presidential election.
But the Democrats don’t want Americans to pay attention to this issue at all.
And what Joe Biden just said about court packing will leave you red with rage.
Joe Biden has repeatedly refused to answer any questions about whether he would go along with or encourage the Democrats’ plans to pack the Supreme Court as President.
This past Monday, Biden tried to brush this whole thing under the rug when he did an interview with a Cincinnati TV station.
Biden began by making the claim that Republicans filling the seat of the late Justice Ginsburg constitutes court packing.
“Look what I want them to focus on, as I’ve respectfully suggested, court packing is going on now,” Biden began.
Then Biden went on to make the argument that because it is an election year, the Constitution does not apply.
“Never before when an election has already begun and millions of votes already cast, has it – that a supreme court nominee was put forward, had never happened before,” Biden started. “One of the reasons is the Constitution implies that the only shot the American people get to determine who will be on a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court or federal courts is when they pick their senator and their president because the president names and the Senate advises and consents.”
After having been pressed on an answer on court packing for days now this is the malarky Biden offers up.
Biden said later in the interview that he wants to “get off on that whole issue” and claimed he’s “not a fan of court packing.”
Even after all of that, Biden still failed to answer whether or not he would sign off on legislation that would allow Democrats in Congress to expand the Supreme Court to 15 justices.
Biden claiming that he’s “not a fan” is just him playing politics.
If Democrats in Congress push legislation through to Biden as president – he will sign it, even if he claims to be doing so “reluctantly.”
