Never-Trump RINO Mitt Romney looks for every opportunity to stab President Trump in the back.
He and other establishment Republicans like him hope by hurting Trump they can retake the Republican Party from the grassroots.
But what Mitt Romney just said about the 2020 election will make Trump supporters livid.
Universal vote by mail is one of the most dangerous election methods ever conceived.
President Trump has been warning Americans for months about the dangers it poses for mass voter fraud on a scale never before seen in America.
But in an interview with NAACP President Derreck Johnson and rabid left-wing “journalist” April Ryan, Mitt Romney offered his full-throated support for universal mail-in voting schemes despite the risks.
Romney claimed it would be “easy” to verify votes cast in an election conducted solely through mail-in voting.
“I, for one, believe that vote by mail is a more secure system because if we think there’s been voter fraud or machines have been tampered with, we can always go back to the paper copy, we can compare signatures, we can talk to the person to see if they actually voted, we can find out if they are dead or alive,” Romney stated. “All these things are available if we have a ballot with a name on it.”
In reality, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Over one month after New York conducted an all mail-in primary, the state is still counting votes and doesn’t yet know the winner of a critical Congressional primary.
Earlier this year in a city council election in Paterson, New Jersey, nearly 20 percent of all mail-in ballots were disqualified.
All told, more than 65,000 ballots have been thrown out this year during the primary elections alone.
While that may not seem like much, Donald Trump only one the presidency in 2016 by a mere 78,000 votes across three states.
But in the end, the worst comments Romney made during the interview was when he endorsed the Democrat Party lie that Republicans were targeting black neighborhoods for voter suppression.
“One thing that really concerns me is when I see videos on my TV that show that in certain places, there are lines a mile long and those tend to be places where minority communities are voting. And in other places there’s no line at all,” Romney ranted. “Something tells me that’s not right. I know that’s not right. And if state officials are putting up with that kind of discrimination and that type of voter suppression, there’s gotta be oversight of that.”
If states go through with a sloppy, thrown together universal mail-in voting system for the 2020 election and it ends in chaos, remember these remarks.
Mitt Romney and all those like him who’ve endorsed it must be held accountable for their actions.
