Nancy Pelosi has been riding the high of a Democrat-controlled White House and Congress since January.
She has ruled the U.S. House with an iron fist since 2018. And she’s ramming through radical pieces of legislation to feed her pal Chuck Schumer and the Democrat majority in the Senate.
But what Nancy Pelosi just admitted had jaws dropping in Washington, D.C.
Minnesota Congresswoman and “Squad” member Ilhan Omar recently sent out an anti-American and anti-Semitic tweet comparing Israel to terrorist groups like Hamas and the Taliban.
Omar stated, “We must have the same level of accountability and justice for all victims of crimes against humanity. We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban.”
Not surprisingly, Omar was blasted for her statements.
Jewish Democrats even released a statement laying into the Congresswoman for her remarks.
Omar sent out a weak “clarification” in response.
Washington, D.C. insiders admit Omar’s “clarification” only barely qualified as pretending she didn’t say what she actually did, in fact, say, much the way you’d expect from a bratty teenager.
This fueled many Democrats’ growing frustration at “Squad” members that is becoming even more evident as tensions in the middle east grow.
Seeing the potential for a real fight in the Democrat Party, Pelosi tried to move past the issue by joining with other Democrat leaders to release a statement.
In an interview with Pelosi, CNN’s Dana Bash said the statement “rebuked” Omar.
“You and other top House Democrats released a pretty rare statement rebuking her for appearing to ‘draw false equivalencies’ between the United States and Israel and terrorist organizations Hamas and Taliban. She clarified. She said that she was in no way equating them,” Bash stated.
But Pelosi quickly chimed in, telling Bash that Democrats did not “rebuke” Omar.
Pelosi went beyond simply walking things back and insisted that they had actually “thanked” Omar for issuing a clarification.
“We did not rebuke her. We thanked, acknowledged that she made a clarification,” Pelosi declared.
This type of walk back is unusual for Pelosi.
Obviously, Pelosi doesn’t want any type of “discipline” in response to Omar’s statements to be what kills the Democrats’ ability to pass their radical agenda through the House.
Omar, a founding member of the “Squad” knows they have the votes to kill Pelosi’s agenda.
Clearly, Pelosi cares far more about getting her bills through and keeping “Squad” members happy than she does about taking a stand against the growing anti-Semitic attitude of many on the Left.
