William Barr has been a big disappointment for Trump supporters.
Despite talking a tough game, he has done nothing to stop the coup plotters behind the Russia hoax.
And things just got worse after he signaled his biggest anti-Trump betrayed yet, and it will change everything.
Attorney General William Barr was supposed to be the Deep State’s worst nightmare.
He was appointed in 2019 to replace former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who recused himself from the Russia investigation, allowing the Deep State to run the show in their coup attempt against President Trump.
Many thought that Barr would prosecute those involved in the coup attempt that dominated the most of Trump’s presidency, going after major players like Barack Obama, James Comey, and John Brennan.
But he never did, and sent a message to Democrats that they can do the same thing again with no punishment.
If anything, Barr helped the Deep State.
While he did secretly appoint U.S. Attorney John Durham as Special Counsel to look into the coup, he gave him a very narrow focus, and they ultimately produced no indictments before the election.
This means that not only did the coup plotters get away with their treasonous scheme, they were likely able to profit off of it at the ballot box.
And his inaction has continued even after the election.
Last week, Barr stated that he hasn’t seen any fraud that could change the election.
Trump reportedly had an “intense” meeting with Barr after the comments went public.
In response, Barr may make his biggest act of betrayal yet.
According to The New York Times, Barr is considering stepping down before Trump’s term ends next month.
During such a pivotal fight for a fair election, a departure will do nothing but harm that effort.
It will create a major media distraction, and put more work on Trump’s plate during a fight where time is of the essence.
One person The New York Times claims to be close to Barr said that he was planning on staying on as Attorney General if Trump won the election.
But he seems to be hedging his bets on Joe Biden getting in, and may choose to resign before Trump is even out of office.
Barr is clearly one of the biggest disappointments in the Trump Administration.
