Attorney General William Barr has been one of Trump’s most loyal cabinet members.
But things change quickly in Washington, D.C.
And now William Barr will need to tread carefully after making this shocking announcement live on Fox News.
Following the death of George Floyd, Barr has been on TV to address the White House’s response to the riots across the country.
The narrative the Fake News Media wants to push is that so-called “protestors” were cleared from Lafayette Square after they began to throw projectiles at law enforcement wrongly with what they call excessive force.
President Trump then made his way through the cleared square in an act of solidarity to visit St. John’s Church – which the peaceful “protestors” had attempted to burn down the previous night.
Barr defended the actions taken by law enforcement at Lafayette square and explained that the mob their had turned violent in such a way that the previous night President Trump and his family were taken to a Secret Service bunker as a precaution.
“Monday, we were reacting to three days of extremely violent demonstrations. Right across from the White House, a lot of injuries to the police officers, arson,” Barr told Fox News. “Things were so bad the Secret Service recommended the president go down to the bunker and we can’t have that in our country, so the decision was made. We had to move the perimeter one block and that is what we are doing.”
President Trump had told Fox News that he had made his way to the bunker for an inspection.
As history shows, contradicting the president does not usually go well.
Consider Secretary of Defense Mark Esper who had a public contradiction with President Trump over the use of the Insurrection Act.
Esper was fired.
Will Attorney General William Barr face the same fate?
